(((HAS SINCE BEEN DISCONTINUED)))

Y'know how sometimes when you criticize a story someone asks you, "If you're so good at writing stories, make your own or rewrite it!"Well, I am. DISCLAIMER:Versatile Mage is a novel, anime, and manhua (comic) I do not own and am rewriting simply to practice writing. I have not read the novel, nor watched the anime. I am only rewriting the story of the manhua adaptation with as minimal changes as possible in an attempt to close the massive plot holes, inconsistencies, and unrealistic scenarios which bothered me. Please do not claim I am plagiarizing the original. Think of this as a fan fiction if you need to.Oh yeah, if you want to read the original novel or the manhua, they're both on Webnovel. Just search "Versatile Mage" over there.

So, I started reading the novel version of Versatile Mage back when it was first being translated... and then I lost interest, gave up on it, and went off to read other stuff. And the reasons I lost interest were all the reasons that this author is rewriting it: massive plot holes, inconsistencies, and unrealistic scenarios. Not to mention all of the face slapping that the MC of the manhua gets up to. Ugh. Now I've read this one up to Chapter 21, and it really is better than the original. I'm sold for the time being, and I look forward to seeing a version of Versatile Mage that doesn't make me give up on it.

I've watched the anime and read the manga to the original of this, and I have to say, I'm impressed by this book.  The only problem I have within this novel is Mo Fan. Instead of being arrogant and greedy, but also reliable and mysterious (As well as being able to crack a few witty jokes), here he's kinda emotionless, but when it shows he has emotion, I kind of go, well that was sudden and kind of off character. A suggestion to the author is to show his emotions a little more, not only when it's needed, like when the other students teased him for being the last place, you could instead of putting the students off as not worth his time, make Mo Fan think they'll be shocked when he gets the greatest element ever or something similar. I know this came out of nowhere, but Versatile Mage is one of my favorite manga's so I would love for the author to continue soon.  Spoiler: Spoiler
I've never been one to dwell on plot holes, but I loved your version of the class ranking exam much more than the original, Mo fan shooting the fireball in the air was much more pleasant to read then just Miss Tang Yue was just feeling something was off.
