A very good quality fanfic that acts as a spin-off to the original. Reads very similar to RI, I am currently at chapter 38 and it doesn't seem like quality will degrade. There are a few things the author played with; for example protagonist isn't a copy of Fang Yuan, he has his own code and beliefs, which is refreshing.

MC is an old monster but not a psychopath like fang yuan which is nice.
The other MCs are also interesting.
Author has really captured a lot of the philosophy of the original work as well as well as the amazing politics.
Really hope this one is finished and doesn't end up being dropped!

Remembered i have this novel in my bookmarks and what do you know when i checked it one chapter was relaeased a day ago.
And author at first i was a little disapointed when you said that you will release one chapter in month's but, this release pace has it's own flavor not reading it hurridely when the novel is completed, or checking thousand times if the novel got another chapter here all those distractions have been eliminated

After only finding sub par RI fanfictions, Verdant heart seed shocked me. The story suprised with wit, a well thought out culture, side characters that have theire own goals and dreams even thought prosseses... Lastly the cherry on top was the well described living and dynamic world.
Im glad to be witness to a story writen by someone that may well reach great grandmaster atainment level in litterature, as should you ;).

I found this on reddit about reverend insanity, one the best chinese webnovels of this Millennium. Verdant Heart takes the same setting and introduções us to new characters , asking us to follow their development. Great character personalities, action packed chapters. If anything i miss the cheer size of RI, lets hope VH grows as much.

This is truly the best RI I've read so far making it feel like im reading the original again. RI has one of the most complex and dangerous xuanhuan settings ive ever read and many fics do a horrible job at replicating the dangers, schemes and conflicts, so its great to see this one break the mold. I hope the author can keep this level of writing consistent and doesnt drop the fic, its been far too long since Ive had the same vibes as I did when first reading RI.

The Verdant Heart Seed is a fiction of the first order. The novel is a fiction and political story of the first order. For MC it is, in truth, a kind of a literary adventure of sorts, in which people come to know these people and their people and, as he would expect, are impressed with their courage, love, and even intellect, who, though they are people, nevertheless are nevertheless human, in short, of whose people he hopes to find a way forward. We may call this the adventure in the first order.
The character is too cold but he is great. A dark horse to me at the beginning. I also hope that at some point we can take a look at something about the character that might be more interesting in its own way (there were a bunch of other stuff I'd like to tackle, such as what had changed in his heart), and see if I can find any things where that's going to be exciting.
No, but I won't argue with it. If you want to read it, get it. It's the first year it's available, and I'm pretty sure it won't be the last.

Like RI, it gets further into thematic/philosophical content. Plot is interesting, explores new territory while faithfully mimicking the original tone/style.
I dislike the repeated use of 'incense stick of time', that's never used in RI nor does it make sense. We're all Westerners here, we invented the clock so we didn't have to use candles! But that's a very minor gripe. Good content!
