Description
One does not say no to a goddess lightly...
For the sin of my arrogance, I was cursed, forced to be reborn over and over again living life after life each short and brutal.
Once I was her champion, now, however, I am cast aside into the deepest pit.
No more...
I shall say my Valediction and rip my soul asunder to be born again by my own free will...
Author’s Note: Hey everyone this is another story about a man who winds up a woman, but he still likes women so expect some Yuri as well as explicit sex scenes... You have been warned lol...

- TwistedkhanRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I enjoyed this very much, even more than Anachronism! I need a book 2 please! Also, an audio book like Anachronism got wouldn't go amiss, i would buy it immediately.
- CrywolfsevenRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0A bit of a darker start but I am very much looking forward to what appears to be another great story from this author
- CyclopsSlayerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0While I enjoy both of the author's stories, I am prefering this one so far. Only four chapters so far, and will update this later.
- FOULdragonRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I'll keep it short. When I first saw this story a while ago I read the summary and just felt meh about it. I thought "I don't want to read about some guy who is just going to die over and over again." Needless to say, I eventually found the story again and decided to take the plunge this time. Boy do I regret not doing so sooner. I don't know what made me think this was going to be filled with repeated death, it's one life with a backstory of a bunch of deaths, and yes it's entertaining as hell.
The only quirk is the main character's speech pattern has her referring to herself in third person because of a language barrier and how her tribe are with social circles. It gets somewhat confusing to keep in mind that the main character is talking about herself and not someone else. At the same time though, it's probably one of the more creative reasons for odd speech patterns in the stories I've read and i have started to find it really endearing now.
As for the rest of the story. Yes it's good. Everything is where it should be and while there is a VERY distant goal of vengeance, it isn't constantly hanging over your head as a non-stop reminder of the main character's reason for existence. So far the MC is behaving naturally according to her culture and beliefs. This also applies to all the other characters that make an appearance in this story.
Definitely worth the read, and I can't wait for more. - FattykinsRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Nearly all the stories found on RR are love affairs between the amateur authors and their characters. Romantic it seems but after a few chapters the novelty is wears away the author adds a new character and the story is buried underneath a growing pile of meaningless names.
Zak Wester avoided this. The characters served a purpose and once done were removed and the story is richer for it, I mean it. The only adventure lasts for less than a fifth of the story and only one fight in it. Yet the consequences from that fight are the only reason why there is a story. The characters are gone but their absence pushes the story forward. - Lectival SolRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Is five chapters at time of post, looks good
- Sledor12Royal Road★★★★ 4.0I wasn't sure at first if I was going to like this story, but somehow it drew me in. The characters especially Rin are so amazingly flushed out, and i'm really looking forward to reading the story as it progresses and can't wait for more chapters to come out.
- BeyogiRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Overall this is a decent story. Old Champion has a fight with his goddess, gets cruelly punished. Decides to get back at her and reincarnates.
Now the gender bender in this story seems to be that the champion was originally male, though "he" seems to have been solely female in the last few lifes and the current incarnation. Honestly as someone who likes gender bendering it's barely there. Not sure if it really deserves the tag.
The whole incarnation thing seems to largely serve to give the protagonist some motivation for adventuring. Sadly that seems to be it. So far the MC has only gone adventuring, got herself fucked up and that's it. Progress on the main plot is glacial.
In that regard this story falls into a typical trap of web novels: It gets so caught up in details and side-plots that the hook is all but forgotten. - SacredriverRoyal Road★★★ 3.0Valediction is a reincarnation story. The premise is so familiar it's practically cliché at this point. The ending is another weak point in the novel, it felt rushed. despite the flimsy set up, the characters and their stories are very well written. Unfortunately the story is choke full of spelling errors, it is readable, and in dire need of editing and proof-reading.
Despite all its fualts, I enjoyed Valediction, if only due to the protaganist and her party.
