Untouchable (A LitRPG ManhwaBook)

Description
Debated as one of the best players of all time in the competitive VRMMO 'Champions of Andartha', Katherine Katyusha 'The Untouchable' suddenly disappeared from the pro scene without a trace. Years later at the height of the game's popularity, a chance meeting with an up-and-coming streamer draws her in once more to their world. Will this fateful encounter rekindle her competitive spirit to rise up once again and reclaim her former glory?
----------------------------------------------
The VRMMO game of the story is inspired by Elden Ring. Expect many similarities in gameplay, immensely compelling action scenes, and fast-paced kills/deaths. My writing style is heavily influenced by light novels so please carry on if it's not your cup of tea.
Updates 2 times a week.

- DrakonycRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Fantastic novel so far, the characters, world, and basic context of the game are all thought out and depicted well, all culminating in a fun, enjoyable read. The only downside is that there’s a limit to how many chapters Wynn can create at a time. Can’t wait to see more chapters and continue to follow the story.
- [email protected]Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story has all the vibes of a lighthearted slice of life with a focus on character development, while still managing engaging combat and meaningful character development. The pacing is nice and we see a fair bit of the hero shaking the rust off after a long time away. I’m sure that as the story progresses we will see even more action and adventure.
- TrinitroRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Any fans of KA will see several similarities. Both being character driven Esport stories. The main characters thankfully while both 'the best' are not the same and have different story arcs. But both stories are driven by the interactions with those around them.
So far the only issue I have with this one is the occasional editing mistake.
Overall good grammar and flow. - DCatRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5If you've read King's Avata or watched its anime rendition and found yourself liking its premise, then this story's for you. Its fluffy yet full of action with multiple characters that would get you invested in them. As opposed to most VR stories which screams blue boxes and stats at you every opportunity it gets and where the MC gets lucky encounters upon lucky encounters, the focus is more on the characters' personal growth rather than the growth of numbers. Altho there are some grammatical issues here and there its mostly legible and immersive, with the chapter's being at a decent length, tho I wish it could be longer. P.S. The main characters are minors hence the title, untouchable.
- AmphitriteRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Untouchable by Wynn delivers an exhilarating blend of competitive spirit, intense action, and a captivating VRMMO world inspired by Elden Ring. Katherine Katyusha, once a legend in Champions of Andartha, is pulled back into the game after years of absence, and her journey to reclaim her former glory is as gripping as it is satisfying.
The story’s strength lies in its fast-paced combat and immersive game mechanics. Wynn’s vivid writing makes every battle feel visceral and high-stakes, mirroring the punishing, yet rewarding gameplay that fans of Elden Ring will instantly recognize. Katherine’s journey is not just about skill but also the rekindling of her competitive spirit, making her a relatable and compelling protagonist.
While the light novel-inspired writing style may not appeal to all readers, those who enjoy the genre will find its pacing and presentation engaging. With well-crafted action scenes and a strong protagonist, Untouchable is a must-read for fans of VRMMO stories and those who crave thrilling battles and hard-won victories. - RenkhalRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0There are a lot of errors in this (which I'm sure are because this is a draft and not the finished novel) but the story is good and the flow is rather interesting. The many point of view changes being first person throw me some times, but that's manageable. I look forward to reading more of this.
- SuedouRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Untouchable is a great read I would absolutely recommend, especially to those who enjoyed “The Kings Avatar”.
The setup is very similar, just featuring a lot more cute girls and fluffy moments. A lot of the main cast is likeable (however there are quite a few exceptions). The overall progression of the story feels good, maybe a little slow paced but that’s to be expected with more SOL oriented stories.
The shortcomings of this story are mainly in the characters and some stylistic elements.
First of all, the thing that bothers me the most is how some characters are blatantly perverted, sexist, or otherwise unpleasant, and pretty much get away with it for no reason and little to no consequence. The most egregious example of this in is volume two where one of the competitors in the tournament sexually harasses the MC and attempts to assault another female competitor while actively live-streaming from his phone. Logically, this kind of behavior would never be tolerated by any kind of official esports organization and in my opinion he should have been disqualified immediately, however for sake of plot nothing comes of it and he is later forgiven even though he does absolutely nothing to deserve the benefit of the doubt. While never as dumb as this, issues like that are consistent throughout the story.
Secondly, stylistically the story has some issues. Every single chapter feels like it has way to much unnecessary fluff, primarily in descriptions of people, places, etc. It takes two paragraphs to describe something that could be described in one. I don’t need to hear about how the clothing of two random security guards who will never show up again contributes to their “aura of authority and professionalism” and symbolizing how seriously the security of the competitors is being taken or whatever. While this kind of writing isn’t necessarily bad, it needs to be used in moderation for events and descriptions that are actually important. For me, it really breaks the immersion - TheZouaveRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This story has haram elements to it, but it's not so overt that you can't choose a favorite pairing and root for it. It does need some editing work, but it's not jarringly unintelligable.
The biggest problem for me is that book 2 "ends" in the middle of the important event that is the crux of the entire story arc. How can you call that an end??? If this was a published book, readers would riot!
Good books have a relatively self-contained story arc. Online fictions can get away with much longer story arcs because they don't have to fit on the pages of a book in your hand. If that is the plan, commit to it. Otherwise it needs self-contained story arcs. - eflinRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5This is a tough one to rate. The story is enjoyable and I binged all the available chapters (volume 2 chapter 22). You can tell a lot of thought and work went into this and the main plot arc/progression… so I hope the author continues to write and improve. I particularly enjoyed the battles and strategy parts as well as the world building. I can see why people are drawing parallels to Kings Avatar.
Where it falls short (sometimes very short) for me is the non game parts. The writing style sometimes is disjointed, there are too many PoVs slowing things down (in fact I sometimes couldn’t even tell who’s PoV it was and had to skim ahead to figure it out then come back to read it), and the characters can be very cliche. Especially the female characters finding everything (and each other) cute and guys always ogling them. And the art woven in to the chapters often reinforces that. It really distracts from the better parts of the story and some of the better character backstories.
I enjoyed this and will keep reading it (mainly for game portion of things) but I also think this has plenty of room for growth and improvement. Especially in the depth of characters and the pacing/flow of the story. Good luck to the author and keep up the hard work - ArahVhelRoyal Road★★★ 3.0Feels like a Chinese light novel, in that every chapter a micro step forward in events, but without the speed at which Chinese novels update. Essentially every week real time the timeline of the story advances by a few minutes. It is thus very hard to keep any kind of anticipation or engagement up.
Also, the character interactions are all over the top and pretty much every single person read like a shonen character, clichés and all. Way over the top, but their personalities are paper-thin. The author gives a lot of background for the main cast, but it makes every interaction predictable.
However, the grammar is good (I'm not a native speaker so take that with a grain of salt). The slice of life scenes are alright. The character concepts are good but deserve a little bit of refinement.
We know who the mc is, but she has barely more content than the rest of the cast. This is, I believe, to the detriment of the story.
The tournament arc is painfully slow, the abundance of PoVs distract from the meat of the story in a tournament arc. We don't care about every single match. Also, since when does a global phenomenon of a tournament have so little players in the first stages? The game has sponsors, rents a stadium, pays the hotels for players (lol) and has like 40 people playing in team matches?
