Once a divorced dad with a mundane existence, Blake is now 16, strong, and more powerful than he ever could have imagined. Little does he know that Illyanna's error in transferring his in-game stats rather than his real-life attributes has made him a formidable figure in a strange new world.

Blake must navigate his way through a place where his gaming skills have become a stark reality. Unravel the mystery of Blake's rebirth in a world where fantasy meets reality and where a simple error by a goddess could mean the difference between triumph and disaster.

Just found this by accident, looked in Amazon, hoping for a completed book.   Enjoying the story so far.   It would be nice to see more stat screens though.   I am sure he will find a time and place to use those “forbidden” characters.   Story has a lot of potential as many gamers and rpg players at one time wished they could be their characters.

Story is pretty much the standard MC died trying to rescue a woman, dies, gets isakai to a fantasy game world as his MMO character.  All with a twist that you’ll need to read to find out (don’t want to spoil the fun).
What needs to get better –
Everything up to chapter 15 Blake has been treating his new world as a game with no real consequences.  My opinion of how Blake is treating the world: Nothing can hurt me, it’s a game!  Attack bad guys, seen better and gorier deaths in VR.  Good guys die, they don't stay dead, I have resurrection.
Once Blake gets the wake-up call that his new world is real.  He needs to start acting like the 45-year-old divorced dad he is and not the teen-aged OP MC surrounded by plot armor he’s playing at.
…although it is kind of fun to watch him treat the world as one big game here for his enjoyment.

I have to be honest - when it comes to LitRPG, I am always sceptical becauase I have read so many over the years before coming to this platform that I hesitate to venture into anything outside of your true-blue fantasy tales. But damn, this story actually has me reminiscing over my world of warcraft days when I was a teenager and everything was new (looking at you vanilla circa 2005). I always do a base review after 3 chapters (3 formal chapters) before a more proper, antiquated review later, and I feel this story is set up to be a fun and engaging read in the sense that it really pulls you away with its antics, humor and grit. I am enjoying this a lot and might binge it very soon once I get a few more of my irl stuff sorted.
Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun time that won't be too bothered by a little gore woven in between.

The basic Isekai genre, blending gaming fantasies with real-world. The story has great potential for everyone interested in the OP MC. The story could benefit from more frequent stat screens, but in the later chapters it is going that way, which I like.
In summary, it is an enjoyable read with potential for growth. I'm eager to see how the story unfolds.

The story has the potential to be reasonably good. There are some storyline things that are questionable, like how unlikeable the main characters are. There’s not really anyone in the story that I like or want to cheer for. I don’t really want anyone to succeed, but it could be easily fixed by making them more dimensional or likeable.
A lot of Blake’s actions don’t make sense. It seems like a coin flip of whether he’s going to be cocky or confused and it’s not super realistic. It takes you out of the book when he goes from asking for help to immediately being a threatening and overbearing presence. Especially when he has no idea where he is or what he can do. People don’t typically flop around like that, they keep whatever persona they start a convo with unless the other person changes the conversation. A lot of his interactions are confusing and disjointed. Like checking up on the kids and then chastising them for being in the woods because of monsters, which is illogical because he’s been in this world for like 12 hours. He would have no actual idea what is in the forest, especially since he was told that the crocoviles aren’t in the area but he saw one? I guess they traveled, but we aren’t really told how long or how much they’ve traveled, and that leaves a lot up to reader interpretation. Probably too much, honestly.
The writing style could use some work. Typically, dialogue starts the beginning of a paragraph unless it’s part of the action that comes before it. It’s also redundant to tell us his thoughts followed by the exact same content in dialogue directly after. Just leave it in the dialogue. We know he’s thinking it if he says it.
the chapters also end at random places. I get that you’re leaving cliffhangers, but they could be a lot more graceful instead of just an abrupt ending. Some of the chapters did not need to be split up, but I get that posting chapter by chapter in this format is set up differently than a novel. I’d be very irritated if I was readi
