TRX's Adventures

Description
Mathias Donovan never saw himself as someone special.
He has psychic powers, but he was always told they were just a "talent". He never saw himself as better than anyone. So he grew up like any other kid.
But what begins as an ordinary life of school, friends, and small-town routines slowly twists into something far greater… And far darker.
Mathias soon finds himself caught in a hidden war involving divine beings, demonic forces, and even secret organizations that shape the world from behind the scenes.
And as he digs deeper into the truth of who he is, he discovers that the world is far bigger, older, and more dangerous than he ever imagined. Unexpected allies, and some of them not even human, cross his path, and Mathias is forced to take part in a destiny he never asked for… a destiny set in motion long before he was born.
A slow-paced story set in the 1980s, blending humor, mystery, and the growing weight of a fate that refuses to leave him alone.
“The story of a boy who, unaware of his future, becomes entangled in a war between God and the demons. This is the story of Mathias Donovan.”
Author's notes:
This story is mainly inspired by Shin Megami Tensei, the Mother series, the Science Adventure series and Dragon Quest.
Some characters’ names form the “TRX” of the title, and one of them is literally named Trixxie/TRX xD
English is not my native language, so if something sounds strange, please let me know. There are also some simple drawings made by me.This story will likely receive many edits. I hope it's at least fun to read.

- CloudfallRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Cover: Not the best, but it's an effective one.
Synopsis: Well written. It really displayed what the book is all about in a descriptive way.
First Chapter: Beautifully done.
Grammar: High quality. No error that could affect the flow of the story.
Story: The plotline follows Mathias, a boy with "psychic powers", and his friends, which ends when something happens that changes the course of our protagonist's life. This high fantasy novel is a mixture of Sci-fi, low fantasy and magic. From what ive read, the story is developing really well.
Style: Third person narration. Well used.
Characters: Didn't read much, but from what I've read so far, they're well written, especially the MC, Mathias.
Overall: Great work. - Theora WattersRoyal Road★★★ 3.0There are quite a few positives, but a couple very glaring negatives that I want to touch upon.
For a positive start, I like the vibe going on. It gives me a similar feel to early webcomics and, I'm not sure this is a inspiration or not, the Mother series. The occasional bit of art (which I actually think is well done) and the tongue-in-cheek narration is very charming, overall. As far as the feel of everything, I quite like it.
For the story, again, I see some similarity with the Mother series of games. Psi powers, odd little creatures, a darker plot going on in the background: These all remind me of that series, which is a good thing. The story can feel a bit slow at times with the random scenes and the back-and-forth between mundane slice of life and more fantastical deep lore chapters. But I find it interesting, all the same.
Grammar is the biggest issue, by a far margin. I don't want to beat you up about it, especially because you mentioned that English is not your first language and that this was initially written in Spanish, but it is sketchy enough that it makes it tough to actively read. I'm just letting you know that it is an issue, because I am proud of all the effort you've put in and English is a difficult language, especially grammatically.
On another positive note, I think that your characters are engaging, as well. But I do think that, much like the other aspects of your story, the grammar kind of holds it back. I can tell the characters are interesting and lively and with some mechanical edits to the writing, I think they'll be able to show their identities better.
Overall, as I said in the title, I think there is a lot of potential here. There are a lot of good things. Be sure to keep writing and reading others' works, as actively doing so will help you become more familiar and refine your mechanics as far as English goes. You have talent, so don't be discouraged and keep at it.
