- thegoodguy21Royal Road★★★★ 4.0Strong start with decent story elements. The characters are well introduced, and completely grabs your attention with heavy details. 1st chapter ends in a really good cliffhanger where it first begins making you want to read more. 2nd chapter adds in a bulk of the story elements that was missing from chapter 1. The main character seems to be set as "scrawny guy with no muscles" so you can expect there to be ALOT of potential growth for the mc. Overall the first 2 chapters leaves me wanting more.
- raulksRoyal Road★★ 2.0SPOILERS :
The mithril coin part was really painful to read, even more since the MC is supposed to be something like a pro and the soldier told him what it was.
The start with the slime was not wise either, just found a monster and its ok to let it follow you around even to your room...
7 days sleeping and no big deal, come on!!!
This Gods are even dumber than the MC. - younglink098Royal Road★★ 2.0This is a really good story.
*contains some spoiler*
Unfortunately, the MC is kinda stupid. I mean he's a gamer, and he should've doubted when the guard said that he mistook the mithril for a silver coin. The guard is from that world, pretty sure he wouldn't have mistaken it. - wedrifidRoyal Road★ 0.5The world building, theme and slow but steady character development have the potential for an addictive story that ticks all the boxes of LitRPG. Unfortunately the author tries to hard to be amusing and in doing so breaks immersion and makes the story almost painful to continue.
There is absolutely no need for the mithril coin scene to exist. It is contrived, unrealistic, adds nothing to the plot and is a meaningless sabotage of the MC without even any personal growth or learning being evident. It's enough that I unpacked my laptop, set up a hotspot and found royalroad just to make a review... only to discover far from the first to do so for the same reason.
Fortunately, the problem could be fixed by a simple application of an edit button and a delete key. It adds so little meaning to the story that literally no rewriting is required. Since there is no excuse not to fix the problem, leaving it there amounts to gratuitiously pranking the readers. In fact, the way the author interacted with the feedback is reminiscent bumbling fool that he so desperatively tries to make the MC.
