I am absolutely hooked on this story. There aren't a lot of stories this long that I've managed to binge. This is a pleasant and fun first lol. There are some wording and punctuation issues but the story is so interesting and engaging that they just don't really matter. The essence of the story and the author's intent is really strong making those issue feel irrelevant. And that's coming from a recognised grammar dictator lol.

An excellent book anyway you slice it. I would definitely recommend that you give it a read. The story line is compelling and the characters are all developed. My only critique is that the release schedule is slow at one time a week but other than that nothing. Top of the pile by royalroad standards.

This story is one of the rare gems on this site. It takes a while to get going and will seem slow and a bit odd at first but after the world building and charackter development have found their place, it becomes really good. Also it's a bit of a fresh wind in terms of tropes.

Tree of Aeons is a great innovative take on the non human, Litrpg Genre, has a nice storyline that engages the reader with significant world building and plenty room to grow the story further. The story may not touch upon many things but it is all from the point of a tree which inherently thinks differently form “sapient” races, which is the perfect excuse for a emotionally distanced Mc and all the time skips and perspective shifts
Aeons abilities are varied but all fit into the support category which is great seeing his nature as a tree. One thing I would like to see is the variety of aeons summons expanding currently he only has beetles and spiders (beetles were the initial type and spiders was given for free) aeons should get things like ants, tree snakes and birds. (Perhaps since there is a bird and snake titan form, he needs to get one of those first, to unlock the summoning type)
I have currently read this story 3 times over and reading again for a fourth time.
    critics
    - the ability use system seems to change from daily use towards energy use, I personally prefer energy use however, there doesn’t seem to be an explanation for the sudden change.
    - there is a lack of a threat towards the Mc now after everything has occurred the only things that can harm the Mc is either the demon king or heroes of other gods if they can descend onto the main plane.

I like this story, one of the few stories I have followed with over the last few years. The system is fun, the character isn't a dope, and the puns are nice. Definitely one of the better reads on the site. Besides the somewhat occasional grammar mistake (which I usually blip over anyways) I feel like this story is generally quite good.

updater: finally! finally something happens, and Tree Tree is facing real problems due to decisions he made, and is finally confronting them.
    me happy,  me update scores.
    ------------------------------------------------
first off, i fell realy REALLY bad for having to do this (giving 1/2 star rating)
but somehow, every time I think off the chapters that lead me to doing this, it feel justified.
Because, the M.C.'s  conduct is infuriating beyond belief. it started out kinda decent, but if the author is going for some sort of, trees are not aggressive appeal, he is going about it in the worst way possible.
people keep stepping on his boundaries, (enough to threaten his life) and he just lets them, and there is NO justification for his action or anything written about his perspective on why he behaves that way.
Even worse, he faces ZERO consequences for his whipy, passive, pushover behaviour, if this is some story about, { even in a fantasy world there are creatures that follow the Dao of pushover(ism) and they live a fine and dandy life, even after being walked all over. so it might be a good thing to be a push over}.
    well it's a bad story.
i know very well how much a 1/2 star rating affects a story. Yet I still do this because this infuriates me beyond reason.
I do plan on increasing the rating in the future, if the MC faces the consequences of his lackadaisical actions,
    like,

the druids he let of,  joining with the druidic order to take him down,
the town council he let off for plotting against him, somehow succeeding in pulling the wool over him in a critical time.
and all the other half hearted, lacadasical and Pushover(y) actions he did, all came together and spelled his demise.
then, if he uses his second chance to live a cautious life.
I'll give this story 5 stars.

The story is very consistent. Consistent in chapters. In quality. In build up.
And most importantly, consistent in build up. The story is always moving. There have been only aroound 5 to 10 filler chapters in total.
Overall, its a story that I find very engaging, and read nicely once a week.

While the plot premise is really great the novel mostly reads like a journal leaving alot of things out. At the start it was actually not that bad because there wouldnt be that much happening but then all of a sudden the mc starts randomly gaining new skills and abilities just by thinking about them, And then the mc seemingly just never uses or explores said abilities. There is so much lost content because of this and it can be quite frustrating when the mc doesnt use the things he has infront of him better. If you like a quick read then I'd say go for it. Otherwise Im not sure.

If  you like Rising of the Shield Hero, and you throught Naofumi was a great character with no flaws, you'll enjoy this story.
If you're not a fan of slavery, torture, animal abuse and an MC who can at best be described as a sociopathic bastard find something else.
I really wanted to like this, and I tried to stick with it, but it's just too much.

Poorly written and missing a good chunk of the early chapters, makes it damn nearly impossible for anyone new to get in to.
Maybe the quality improves afterwards but having 30+ chapters missing makes me not want continue on to find out.
Too much time goes by within the first chapter. With the main character barely having any introspection about his circumstances during it, nor does he ever try to take any kind of inniative to engage more with the world around him once people start coming to him, he talks for weeks apparently to the first person to discover him, but never seems to ask him to bring more people to him and is actually suprised when someone else visits him after the first person dies, which he doesn't even reacts to besides noticing he got some xp.
