This book, overall is amazing, at least to me. Now I need to get the faulty parts of the story out of the way. World building, not that great. I don't have a general idea of where the hell ash is half the time, but I am sure it will improve in the next book, if he dares to grace is with such an opportunity. Second, and finally, I find the paragraphs to be hella long, and incredibly wordy, mostly detailing ash's thoughts. You won't miss much if you skim your eyes over it and get a general read of the situation. Those are my only faults with this novel.
Now to the good stuff
STYLE
decent, I mean, could be better, could be worse, on the better end of the spectrum of novels I've seen. Improvements that could be made were better changes in pov, condensing the previously stated wordy paragraphs, and stuff like that. Easily fixed with some time put into it if the author wants to make it into a hobby or when they are not on a time crunch for the writathon
STORY
I find the story enjoyable to read, makes my mind go brr, stuff like that. I really enjoy the premise this story is built upon, and ash's future goals. I believe that this book could reach heights never dreamed of if the author wanted to put some time into storyboarding and laying a concise path he could develop the story on. The direction of this story could go any which way, hinting at the potential it has.

This is what made it so hard for me to read in the first couple of chapters, but once I plowed through, I could see where it shines, really cleaning away the 'trash'. Honestly, that, and cutting down the chapters into bite sized pieces, will do wonders for my enjoyment levels.
CHARACTER
Ash is a very good main character. Dandy backstory of betrayal, we see his growth an
