Description
Sam had been ecstatic to finally be free from prison. His third escape attempt had been going oh so well... Until he was sent overboard. Once the cold blackness had ended, he'd awoken on the white shores of a strange island. He was stranded, and to survive, he'd need to contest with the threats that came with this new environment. Cannibals and lizard men hunted him, undead sought to drag him to the afterlife, dragons seemed to dominate the sky and the very island itself seemed to want him dead...
Well, at least it wasn't prison.

- ShlarkupikRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0(Contains spoilers)From what I can see of Sam's character I am liking. even though Sam was a criminal he has a good heart (well maybe not quite he has beat two people until their face's are unrecognizable as face's) he fought a demon, washed up on an jungle island, Got attacked his first night and has just been doing what it takes to survive. Not a lot of people would be able to do what it takes to survive in this situation. Also I love it when the main character has to fight against horrible odds and is talking smack the whole time. All in all I'm liking it.
- The Boiled FrogRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Although the stories are very different, this reminds me of the movie Cast Away with Tom Hanks.
Hopefully Sam won't be as isolated, but it doesn't look good so far. And considering that the jungle itself seems to be malevolent, well, the chances of a good night's sleep seem to be a long ways off.
I'd have to say that the grammar and character of Sam are pretty consistent. And the action, horror, and mystery aspects are being set up well. Still no obvious magic elements, but it is yet early days.
I'm also wondering if the demon cloud of despair will make another appearance.
In short, give it a try. Terror and desperate circumstances just might be your cup of tea.
