Mel finds themselves waking from a daze in the lobby of a strange academy. But it’s not just any academy it’s apparentlyThe Academy. An academy that sits between worlds and teaches the fundamentals of magic beyond the ken of ordinary mortals.
Except Mel's quite certain they're not meant to be there. The body they find themselves in is wrong and Earth doesn’t seem to have magic in the first place. How long can Mel mooch off of the Academy while living the dream of witchcraft and wizardry? What will happen if he’s found out?
AN: Hey! This is my first published story. I'm using the writathon as an excuse to practice writing. My writing may be rough to begin with but I hope people can find enjoyment following along on this journey. Once the writathon finishes I may go back and edit a little. My rate of chapters will also go down at that point but hopefully the quality will increase as I have more time to edit and plan.

- RyCherryRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5It's generally pretty well written, the world, characters and stuff feel real enough. There's the occasional typo or phrase written like it was translated but those are a bit jarring at worst. My biggest problem is the mc, they're not illogical, but they take pessimism to an unrealistic extreme.
I doubt this annoys most other people as much as it does me, but for me it ruins what I think would otherwise be an enjoyable story.
I'm pretty early in the story and if I knew this changed I might be willing to read more but currently it's putting me at far too much risk of breaking my glasses in frusteration to justify continuing.
