Description

They took his name, stole his life, and fed on his pain. But they made one mistake...they let him live.

Betrayed by his own blood and sold into slavery, Prince Oliver Von Rich lost everything: his title, his freedom, and his future. For years, his captors in the Somara Empire bled him dry, using his Royal bloodline as fuel for their Aether.

But when they sought King Solomon’s Staff, a relic said to grant any wish, Oliver rebelled. Left beaten and dying, his blood soaked the ancient artifact… and awakened it.

Dragged back in time to the eve of his kingdom’s fall, Oliver is no longer a helpless prince. With the scars of his past and knowledge of what’s to come, he’ll rewrite fate, even if it means becoming a monster.

To destroy the empire that broke him, Oliver must embrace the cursed power of the most vile demon known to man.

[What To Expect: This Book isVERYheavy on Slavery, Punishments, Gore, Weird Curses, Racism, Ageism, Bloodline Discrimination, Cannibalism, Magic, and Demon Contracts.

The book starts slow, and emphasis is placed on the butterfly effect after going back in time. Which is something a lot of writers ignore for such characters.]

(Author's note: Mc starts as acoward; what do you expect? He was a slave for a long time.)

Fellow reviewers, are your leisurely afternoon tea times feeling a bit bland? Then, allow me to grandly recommend a work that can invigorate your spirits, perhaps even make you exclaim in admiration – a "supremely satisfying" piece! If you're anticipating family betrayal, the shadow of death, the flames of vengeance, plus the potent ingredient of time travel... then congratulations, this novel is your "destiny's choice," tailor-made for you!
Imagine, the protagonist's "bad day out" package gets an instant upgrade to a "VIP ticket to hell," but Lady Luck (or some other, more inscrutable entity) seems to have dozed off and handed him a "life reset voucher." Thus, a classic drama of revenge begins. This can't help but remind me of the epitome of vengeance penned by Alexandre Dumas – the shadow of The Count of Monte Cristo, only our protagonist, at the start, doesn't even have a decent shovel in hand, just a heart full of grief and indignation, and a mind matured by hardship that tugs at your heartstrings.
And Velma, the sister in the story, oh, she is simply the most tender and heart-wrenching highlight in this dark tapestry, like a flower quietly blooming on a medieval battlefield, uncrushed by iron hooves. She is not only the protagonist's emotional anchor but also the crucial thread sketching out his complex, three-dimensional persona, so sincere and moving that even as you grit your teeth in anger, you can still feel a glimmer of human warmth.
The story throws out a three-hour life-and-death countdown right at the beginning. This tense and thrilling "main course," with its existential horror and oppressive atmosphere, instantly reminded me of the suffocating suspense and sense of powerlessness against fate in Summer Time Rendering. The author skillfully lays out suspense step by step, planting foreshadowing, and the world-building unfolds with a mature, meticulous approach, far from a rushed, fast-food offering.
Of course, the novel focuses on royalty—that complex

Overall: what if you could change your fate? This is what Oliver has a chance to do, but even as he gets his chance, he discovers that things aren’t what he thought they were, and that someone close to him had sold him out. This makes a great premise as the reader is kept on the edge of their seat wondering how things will unfold and if Oliver will have a better go of it than the first time.
Style: works well to tell the story and is engaging to read. Author does use several points of view to tell the story, which is well placed to show the reader the important parts.
Story: keeps the reader interested and invested. There’s a lot of world building and backstory, but it’s well placed to make the story even more exciting to read.
Character: Oliver is an interesting guy. He’s been put into slavery but sees a chance to change his fate and does so. I like that even though he’s been dealt a crappy hand, he keeps going. I also really love his sister Velma and I hope he can save her the second time around.
Grammar: I only saw a few mistakes as I read. Most of the text looks clean and solid.

I saw this first on Reddit and decided to check it out on webnovel before coming here. It's starting a bit slow, but I love the character development from coward...also because love for his sister was the propelling factor... But I do have questions about the bloodline stuff also, Like are the demons male or female?

This isn’t the usual revenge story with a system popping up in the first few pages. It takes its time, and honestly, that made it feel more real. You sit with the character’s pain and see how broken he really is before anything else happens.
I could tell a lot of thought went into writing each chapter. The pacing is slower, but it works. The main character doesn’t just do things because the plot needs him to. There’s a reason behind his actions, and you can tell he’s still figuring himself out. He doesn’t start off strong or confident and that actually makes his growth feel earned.
The side characters aren’t just there to fill space either. They have their own goals and personalities. Some I liked, some I didn’t, but they all felt like real people. Honestly, Seraphina is my absolute favorite female character so far. The mix of crazy and boss bitch is insane, and I’m can’t wait for more favorites to pop up later.
The grammar was clean, and the writing style is straightforward. Nothing too flashy, but it gets the job done. What stood out more was the emotion behind the scenes.
Overall, it was a solid read. I’d definitely recommend it.
And dear author, please upload more chapters. I’m trying to wait and let them build up but it’s hard.

This is a good read so far. I’m 100 chapters in. It’s a revenge tale where the revenge feels justified and the stakes significant, with lit RPG thrown into the mix and some great world and magic system building. In a pretty clichéd genre, I feel it’s got some interesting original ideas. The writing is excellent apart from some minor spelling and grammatical errors, which is not surprising, considering the pace that it’s being written at. Quite frankly in the age of AI, I like to see some human errors. If put off by the protagonist’s character in the beginning, just know that they go through a period of rapid growth - at least get through the early chapters if that’s a barrier for you.
I’m looking forward to seeing where this goes
