Description
On a nameless world, impossibly distant and yet inconceivably close, there lies the misty and magical continent of Lusfell. Near the continent's geographical heart can be found the Tyranny of Pean. In the highest tower of his citadel the tyrant has finished his great work; a spell so mighty it will destroy all his enemies and lay waste to the armies besieging his capital in a single stroke. Granting himUltimate Victory!
Unfortunately this is not his story. Nor the story of anyone else on the continent. You see he forgot to carry the one.
In an instant the metaphysical energies of everyone on the continent are snuffed out. Like68,865,207candles extinguished in a hurricane. Nature abhors a vacuum and finds the nearest population of souls in a neighbouring universe inconceivably close by. Which just so happens to be the entire population of the British Isles. A quick copy and replace and nobody will notice the difference.
Meanwhile the newly incarnated population of Lusfell are waking up in bodies not their own, in a land of magic, mystery and mayhem. It's possibly the worst Monday morning in the history of Mondays.
And you though Brexit was a mess.
Follow the adventures of Drake Dunn, angry Scot and avowed pacifist, as they wake up in this new world. In the body of a trained killer.

- C.T. YarrowRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0People sometimes joke that Isekai as a genre tends to be horribly derivative. It really shouldn't be because "another world" could be litterally anywhere and our protagonist could be litterally anthing.
However, there does seem to be no shortage of sories that boil down to an author asking how would [my self-insert author surrogate] survive in [a generic medevil themed fantasy world] armed only with [overpowered magic and/or skills]. I say this as someone who is currently writing something that could be accused of fitting this template.
This story is not that. The central conflicts caused by transporting a whole population to a fantasy world are very different to the culture shock experienced by a sindgle individual. I don't know where this story is going (even though I'm married to the author) but I can't wait to find out. - TonyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Very interesting premise, characters, and dialogue. The characters wake up in bodies that are already a good way down the RPG level and class system and the magic and other abilities run off instinct. Not much action so far, more slice-of-life-ish, focusing on system, setting, situation, and introductions. I’ve enjoyed what I read so far and I’m excited to see where this goes.
