Description

"The past is written by the future. The king shall fall off his throne by thirteen men who have not been born."

He is the mad king who tears a whole continent into two pieces without mercy. He wielded the dark magic from an arcane source, from just no one to The Supreme Emperor. His reign lasts for nearly two hundred years, and no one knows exactly how many dead bodies are lying under his throne.

But this is not the story of him. His reign is over, and now comes an epic of The Thirteen Knights, who sent the death sentence to the Emperor. Who are they? And above all, what they have lost to become such a symbol?

Blood. Love. Duty.

Comes power, comes responsibility, a wise man used to say.

Victory does not create a man, tragedy does.

The main timeline takes place in 2000 years later from the battle in beginning chapters, when magic is no longer available.

Main characters: Beatrice Swift & Delous Warlin

So, this novel is worth your reading. To be honest, it does deliver me the sense of Game Of Thrones, and at first I thought it would be a cheap copy of ASOIAF. However, kudos to the author's effort lurking out of that enormous shadows. I can see him trying to differ his story from the his inspirations.
    STYLE:
The story opened with the battle which led to the main plot in chapter 24 or 25. It may be slow for you guys, I understand, but I believe it's helpful to build a strong base for the storyline. Moreover, there are many characters, obviously. Though there are only 35 chapters, I can sense the schemes and conspiracies are slowly delivered under the curtains.
The novel is written in the 3rd perspective and sometimes there are author's narrative to show his personal pov on the matter. It's smart, I believe!
    STORY:
As I said, it might remind you of Game Of Thrones, but it's just the scent, not the content. The story is not all about houses vs houses, it's about nation vs nation, society vs society, magic vs magic. I am really curious to see what this guy is going to do next. However, this novel is potential.
    GRAMMAR:
I am not a native speaker so the grammar is fine to me. Of course there are some grammartical mistakes, but not a big deal.
    CHARACTER:
I really like how he build villainous characters. They are mischieveous, cunning and straight-evil. Besides, by his depiction of characters' mind, I believe his type of character building is grey characters, which I love the most. You know, his characters are just so real. There are no pure villains, or pure heroes, there are just broken people. The male main character has not appeared yet so I am gonna wait for a while.
