Description
The gods have been known, in times of great need, to summon a hero from another world. In ages past, they have summoned mighty warriors from other universes to fight as their champion and save the world from darkness.
Unfortunately, the gods are not all-knowing, and they can make mistakes. Sometimes what they get is not quite what they were expecting...

- reil-rhiilRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0A well thought out, interesting, believable fantasy.
I always enjoy characters who mostly manage to scrape by with loads of luck and a dash of intellect.
Makes me wonder when their luck will run out, and how they will react when that time inevitably comes.
Give this a read, take a chance.
You might just get lucky. - livetotellRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I've read until the 16th chapter and boy it was a great read!
Spoiler: not really, but it does talk a little about the first chapter, so...
the MC is great because he's reacting just like a normal person would, he doesn't have it easy and as he gets to that new world, he isn't really OP.
I love those kinds of stories, where you can see the character grow and develop.
The plot so far is not really focused on the goal, because the MC doesn't have one just yet.
The story is written well, the pacing is great and it's easy to read. - molenirRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I don't like reading stories with less than 20 chapters or so, but saw this and thought, meh let's give it a shot. This both good and bad, because the story is rather slow to update. Once a week, for chapters that aren't all that long. But even so an entertaining litrpg story thus far.
Looking forward to more. - pizzalad3Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Great writing. I thought bit was going to be generic hero summoning story but this is much better.
- LorkenRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I've read uptil chapter 6 and have enjoyed it very much. The mc reacts to situations and events in a rational and real manner compared to many stories on this site. The system also is concise. If you're like me you try many stories on here looking for the things that tell you to not read any further, this story as of now doesn't have any for me.
I'm very interested in where the stroy goes from here, and hope the author continues to write this story and continues in the quality shown till now. - TechmanRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Only 4 chapters so far, but loving how it's developing. Excellent grammar and spelling, entertaining writing style, engaging characters, and a System that has clearly had a lot of thought put into it.
I'm eager to read this as it continues and see where it goes.
Update: 11 chapters now and still going strong. Probably my favorite story on here right now. Highly recommend. - error 255Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is an excellent litRPG novel with status screens and such.
I'll give a slightly more in depth description of the story in the spoiler below, but this will have bits of information that are revealed in the first five-ish chapters, and my predictions about what sort of story this will be based on the first ten chapters.
Spoiler: Spoiler
The main character (MC) is graduate student who is summoned to a system-based fatasy world to be a champion of god. Given his upbringing on Earth, the MC's initial stats are basically min-maxed for intelligence, which grants him the ability to learn skills much more quickly than others. I expect that we will see the MC revolutionize a few industries with Earth-based technologies, but I don't think that will be the focus of the story. The first major arc or two will likely focus on the MC learning magic of some sort and seeing quite a bit of combat as he tries to survive and learn about this new world.
For what it's worth, I've probably started reading at least a couple hundred stories from Royal Road's Trending/Best Rated/Weekly lists, and this novel is one of only thirty that I'm subscribed to. As it stands, I would place this novel at around rank #20 in that list, but depending on where the story goes from here it could easily make it into the top ten. - KoboldPatrolRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5(as of chapter 13, i.e. very preliminary)
In 'The Wrong Hero', the god of heroism summons Richard from Earth to a battlefield to fight against the dark hordes as magic told him that Richard is a powerful warrior and general. Too bad that those victories had only been in computer games and thus Richard promptly dies together with half the army. But then the trickster god sees potential in that physically weak earthling...
Style: The story is told in third person style from Richard's internal point of view. The language is descriptive and the sentences have a very good flow. The writing feels exceptionally good although I can't say why. Fitting the nature of the patron god there is also a focus on comedy.
Story: The story isn't long yet so there have not been many developments besides an introduction to the class/skill system and some background information. I looks like it'll be a Hero Story but not in the overused "powerful warrior" way. From the scenes available so far I think it has excellent potential.
Grammar: Very good.
Characters: The protagonist is an intelligent and rational physics doctorate student with a hobby of fantasy computer games, he takes to his new surroundings like a fish to water. We also see that he is a good guy at heart. So far no flaws have been shown which is a bit suspicious, I hope that doesn't lead to him becoming a power fantasy trope. If the author can avoid that the story will be great.
The story is still very new so we'll have to see where it goes but so far it's great and I like it very much. Please write more! - SamlakiosRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Wrong hero + wrong God = Right Hero
Has potential to be a great piece. It seems that this will be the story of a joker/clown hero and his adventures, premise good enough to give it a chance. - CatVIRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5I am talking about what happened on chapter 15. Spoilers ahead.
Spoiler: Spoiler
So in chapter 14 i think, a character mentions how splitting up would be a bad idea and everyone agrees.
In the next chapter, before the place where very likely the abominations originated from they split up and the mc goes in alone.
Like all the way before that they were investing gating as a team, but JUST IN FRONT OF THE PLACE, LIKE LITERALLY RIGHT IN FRONT OF IT, the mc and priest split up and mc gets trapped by the villains and mind controlled.
Even though the mc was supposed to be a doctorate back on earth, his wisdom state is low as hell.
Basically, author is forcing the characters to do something that breaks their established character to forcefully progress the plot.
Luckily the other characters aren't as RETAAARDED as the main character, so they figure out he was being mind controlled.
I have to say I can actually be fine with the mc having low wisdom.
BUT my main beef, the reason i gave this novel a 3.5 star instead of 4, is that,
wait for it, I need to all caps this,
THEY SPLIT UP RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE MOST SUSPICIOUS PLACE WHER ANY RANDOM PERSON WITH EVEN THE SLIGHTEST HINT OF SELF PRESERVING INSTINT WOULD NEVER HAVE SPLIT UP SPECIALLY CONSIDERING HOW IN THE PREVIOUS CHAPTER A CHARACTER EXPLICITLY SAID THEY SHOULD "STICK TOGETHER"
Anyways, i don't like forceful plot weaknesses.
