Community Rating
Description
In a world divided by magic and healing, Andromeda is an outsider with a power that could change everything. Mages can use magic, but they can't heal. Medea can heal, but they can't use magic. And the powerless are caught in the crossfire. For thousands of years, the two groups have been at each other's throats, their bitter feud fueled by a dark and terrible act committed by the mages upon the Medea.
When a group of mages summon Andromeda from another world to "solve the Medean Problem," she's thrust into a deadly game of magic and politics. But as she learns to control her newfound abilities, she discovers a truth so shocking that it threatens to tear the world apart. Andromeda must navigate a treacherous landscape of power-hungry rulers, vengeful Medea, and mages willing to do whatever it takes to maintain their control.
As the stakes escalate and Andromeda's loyalties are tested, she realizes that she may be the only one who can bring the warring factions together - or tear them apart forever. Will she survive long enough to unlock the secrets of her power and uncover the truth behind the mages' terrible act?

- randallcooperRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The world in the story is full of magic, intriguing characters, and fascinating places to visit. There's a lot going on in the story to keep a reader hooked without feeling overwhelmed.
Style - One thing I really appreciate about this piece is how well the magic is explained. Anytime a new piece of magic is introduced, I'm able to follow along easily, even though things like that can feel overwhelming in other stories I've read. The author does a great job relating it to human experiences. Everything is described well and the pacing is great.
Story - There are so many intriguing actions that are happening that it's easy to get hooked. I feel like if I talk about it much, it might be spoiler-y, but it's a fascinating world with mages and the magical introduction of a character who is going to have a lot of impact.
Grammar - I noticed some grammatical errors, but nothing that is overtly distracting. I've noticed each dialogue goes like this:
"Example." Character said.
When it should be:
"Example," character said.
Character - All the characters are believable and intriguing. They're all going through something difficult. I want to keep learning about Andromeda, she seems so fascinating, as well as the King and Argo and his family. Every storyline they're involved in has me hooked and I want to see how it all unfolds.
It's a great story and I highly recommend! :) - Daniel J HullRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The beginning seemed a little heavy on the prose as the writer filled in some of the backstory and set the scene for the protagonist's first appearance. After that, things flow much better. Great dialog, touching moments, and fart jokes. What's not to love? Honestly, as I read, the story kept getting better and better. If you like isekai, magic systems, mystery, and strong female leads, I recommend giving this story a try. I think you'll be happy with your decision.
- OrlonDogmannRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I am a self-diagnozed Healer Main in every single game I touch, so to see a story where our protagonist's power is to heal is simply delightful! In a world of powerful Archmages and bloody swordsmen, this tale show us how to slowly grow with a non-combat oriented power set.
Style: There are times where the lenght of the chapters, as well as the parragraphs, can feel a little inconsistent and that's definitively noticeable. But this never takes you away from the read itself! It's just a detail to hold in mind.
Grammar: Besides the rare misuse of some letter, the story is perfectly fine. The grammar is fine, although it could be polished with the aid of a proof reader!
Story: I have stopped right at the point where it all starts to pick up and I just noticed. With the advantages that come from an unknown, other-wordly origin, our protagonist has plenty of magic potential to work with, and it is only a matter of time before the world starts to take notice... I smell a great political game in the making, and I can't wait to read more of it.
Character: The focus of the vast majority of the story is in our protagonist Andromeda, a woman with a lot of things in her past that she is NOT willing to just, let out and tell. And that's what I love of her the most: how we have to slowly figure out her mindset and the reasons for her particular way to interact with this new, magical world. Sadly, this means she kind of outshines the rest of the cast... but to be honest, I do not mind in the slightest~.
All and all, a great work and a great addition to the Isekai genre. I can't wait for tomorrow to come and being able to read some more. - Toir McDunnoughRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I'm trying to think of a way to say I really like this story and characters without being generic about it.
Karmic_Backlash has built an extremely convincing world with its own take on magic that we learn more and more about as the story progresses, I've completed two story arcs and will continue to read till the story is done.
The main thing I love about this is that the people in the story are just that, people. No cartoonishly evil organization, no one is a jerk without a reason. Andromeda starts out somewhat cross, but she's been pulled from her home and dumped into a place where just being here can kill her. I'd be cross too.
The bumpers on the beginning and ending of each chapter are great at acknowledging issues that the author saw with their work and how they were overcome. I especially like how a change in software was credited for an increase in accurace with grammar and spelling.
I love all the characters and want to continue journeying with Andromeda and see what her friends are up to as well. A little spoilerly,
But her literal alter-ego White is interesting. I know both of them are the same person, but the Arch Mage in her head is going to diverge a lot. Alice, her friend in college, is a wonderful counterpoint to Andromeda's tendency to hole up and be be less than social. She's also giving me superhero vibes a bit. Love her character. - TurtleKingRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Style Score - The style of the fiction is a third person past tense, which is commonpalce for fantasy stories like this. It is done well, and allows the author to keep information away from the reader which works well with the political intrigue.
Story Score - The plot of the story up to the place I've read, is coherent, provides adequate tension through politic intrigue and the overarching uniqueness of the main characters mana issues. The story is structered well where it doesn't feel as though the author is jumping around for no reason.
Character Score - I loved the character's dailogue. They made me feel as if I was in their medieval world. It was all very engaging, each character had their own unique voice. The characters hierarchy also helped with creating engrossing world building. The main character is someone who you want to root for, and her unique magic.
Grammar Score - I was unable to find any grammatical errors when reading through the story. The prose was varied nicely so reading the story was easy and fluid.
Overall, If you like political intrigue and stories written as if the fantasy world was set in medieval times then this is the story for you. - DivineCherriesRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I'm going to write this as a reader.
The story is so good. This is the 2nd novel that I like where the main character is a woman( I mostly read light novel so I'm more biased if the main character is a man.) And this is an Isekai so this is a plus for me. Fortunately I'm reading this when it already has 100 chapters. I like the power system and the world of the novel.
Anyway, if you are looking to read Isekai and the main character having the power to heal, this one is for you.
I hope you a happy read, I mean us a happy read. - MistfateRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I loved it. Fun characters, very interesting worldbuilding. Writing quality was a little sloppy, especially towards the beginning. Overall though, I thoroughly enjoyed the story through and through. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone who enjoys a bit of politics in their stories and if ya don’t well then your loss.
- Apollo149Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5I stumbled upon this in the forum and reached out to the author. Overall, I have to say; it has some fantastic lines, one of my favourites was about killing a god! I wanted to high-five someone when I read that!
Overall the story follows Andromeda. She is a solid main character, let me say! She is determined and resourceful. And Andromeda is forced into a dark and harrowing adventure!
The author has put in lots of work. You can feel the author's connection to the characters, and it shows—5 out of 5 for the characters. Side note I love ORDEN!
Grammar: I didn't have a problem reading the story, giving it a solid score. The story is generally well written and doesn't have any issues for me.
My taste is why I am taking off half a point. Something, as I read, was just a bit off, and I was having a hard time 100 percent connecting. Again, this might just be my personal bias. Maybe, because the story is so focused on Andromeda and I didn't connect a ton with her. Still, some of the side characters I just really like! Don't ask me why, but I liked Orden.
Overall, I love the idea that to be a healer is more than just the powers the character has; it is also the state of mind. For example, a fire mage may be a healer by burning away the rot in a forest. I would give this story a chance and sit back + enjoy it. - DidWeDoThatRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Im really enjoying the story so far. When i first started reading I didnt stop til I had caught up to what was most recent. Even when that took me rather late into the night. It was really hard to put it down. There are a few grammar mistakes or where a word got swapped out. But its bot enough to detract from the story overall.
- GuthanRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The main character is a pacifist. There is nothing wrong with desiring peace and practicing non-violence. Problem here is she is a coward about it. She refuses to kill someone even if they were willing to possibly rape and murder her. She even works against her ally to save a bandit.
This is honestly a garbage personality. I have nothing but disdain for people who make other people die for their own peace of mind.
