Description
The world is what you make of it. Nowhere is that more true than the Psykuri Continent, where the strongest beings shape their surroundings with just their perception. When reality is being written by tyrants and Gods, what can anyone do except fall into place?
The Luminous Empire’s golden borders stretch alongside the southern coast of Psykuri. The Holy Family have reigned in accordance with the God of the Sun's teachings for over five centuries and as a result have been blessed with a new Champion by Luminos.
At the same time, the former orphan Wayne Clive Aouris has been summoned to the Capital of the Luminous Empire by his newly discovered father, the Emperor Regent. There he will be exposed to magic like never before, and the World he walks will never be the same.
Reader's Can Expect:To follow Wayne’s journey across Psykuri as he meets and discovers Dragons, Orks, Dragon-riding Orks, Gods, political intrigue, Dwarves, family secrets, remnants of bygone eras, various Demi-Humans, the love of his life, abominations, Elves, assassination plots, and true purpose. Wayne will fight in wars, be betrayed, and eventually find peace and enlightenment. Slow burn supremacy!
Disclaimer:This is a fictional series with themes on the necessity of religion and state, and also self understanding and trauma. Sensitive and triggering topics and scenes will be present in various points of the series. I do not intend to make a statement towards any particular opinion, as I believe it is literature’s goal to simply begin the discourse.
Finally, I included light[LitRPG]-esque progression elements, but math and ‘the System’ are not a large focus of the series. It is there to provide early context, and exist in the universe as a plot device.
Author’s Notes:I really hope you all enjoyThe World King Chronicles, in many ways this series is a reflection of my life up to now along with my hopes for the future. It started as me editing my previous series, and ended up being a combination of a couple of ideas for different series I wanted to write, making what I feel is a more complete and fleshed out world, storyline, and cast of characters than I have ever written or planned before.

- MichaelVitaminRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Gripping start to this book. Already so much happening (and hinted at) in just the prologue and first chapter. Seems to be a rich, deep, and multifaceted world populated with epic powers, massive dragons, gods, and young mortals starting with nothing, all on a collision course. Don’t we all love this ?!?
I like three parts of this :
great depth to the world - what has been introduced is epic in scale but there is a ton of mystery on how it might all fit together.
I care about the two characters and want to find out what happens next with them - and they both are quite different in how they approach the world.
The writing is both Fast paced and detailed. Lots of vivid action happening both externally and internally. Promises to be a “page turner”
has the potential to be among the best litrpg , up there with Will Wight. - RandomEgg02Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Firstly, I have to say the Prologue and Chapter 1 are excellent introductions to the characters and the larger world. The chapters for the series are longer in general, but a strong pace is created in those early chapters that has continued and carried the story forwards so far.
I don't want to give too much away, or heap on too much early praise before there is even 10 chapters out, but so far its very enjoyable. Like the sweetspot between classic highfantasy and modern progression fantasy bildungsroman.
The grammar is good, and there were no spelling errors I noticed. Sentence syntax was mostly strong. There is a tendency to have a lot of commas and compound sentences. Not a bad thing, but it is a noticable style. Still, the word choice is pretty advanced and adds to the story at times in ways that are interesting.
Character voices are quite distinct, its one of the highlights actually for me so far. A few times I've found myself reacting the same way as the characters have, and its made me laught a bit.
Still, right now its all just potential. I'm still waiting on something more series defining to happen, but I'll give this one a good amount of time. I'll also update this post if my thoughts change.
