Description

Grusha was the best at what she did, to dispose the demi's that plagued the earth. Being a demi herself, she slaved for the organization that used demi's as a means to deal with other demi's. In a turn of events, she was abandoned and disposed of from the very same organization she pledged herself to. She finds herself fighting on all fronts: human society; her organization; her enemies; and ultimately herself. Will she make amends with her past, present and future?

This is a damn solid piece I have to say. And here's why...
Starting with the very simplest measure, 'grammar'. Just being 'readable' is the bare minimum, there's an old saying that good grammar should never be allowed to get in the way of good writing. Essentially, break the rules when you need to if it makes a sentence more powerful or a scene more impactful. Simply put, this is all structurally sound stuff, unless you're an English major you probably won't notice any grammatical errors and if you do, you'll be forced to admit if you like to read, that they were for the best. So right out the gate, this is going very well.
Style score: Gotta give this one a solid five, to be honest, I 'almost' knocked it down to 4.5 because of a slight ding to character, but that's just not fair I don't think. Especially given where this story really shines. You get a true sense of the environment and the world at large. A lot of stories really screw that up, but this one nails it, you can get a real feel for the environment the characters are moving through. The picture of the characters themselves suffers a little bit, but it's a relatively mior bit I'll cover later. On the whole, the style is very immersive and it is easy to get sucked into this world.
Story Score: When you've got an immersive world, you're doing something right, you get a real sense for character struggles, fears, and conflicts. The wit, bitterness, and emotional tempo of the characters is consistent and their actions follow a logical course based on who they are. I love a good story like nothing else, and I have to say, though I'm not up to the end yet, this one is delivering so far.
Character: Here's the only ding. I could picture the character of the characters (Ha! Puns!) but I couldn't get a complete picture of just what I was looking at, the depictions of their appearances were a little vague. It's a minor ding really, because everything else is done right, hence why I stuck with 5 overa
