That’s where Zoey Claiborne finds herself after consulting a soothsayer, at the far end of the country, desperately looking for a purpose. Shortly after arriving in the frontier town of Gravewater she becomes caught up in a conflict between the local coven, and the powerful Graves Railway company.

Normally, a witch would make a powerful ally, but Zoey’s magic has been ripped away, leaving behind something far darker, but equally as powerful. With her feline familiar Kaylee at her side, Zoey must do what she can to earn the trust of her newfound allies, before their mutual enemy comes for them both.
