The Votary

Undying loyalty. Unparalleled expertise. And an efficiency that's essential for the nobles they serve.

That's the best way to describe votaries, who come from foreign lands to surrender their title as "human" to the Empire of Aegnad.

Taken from his homeland at a young age, The Votary has never had his own name. He expects to live his life as an expendable resource, used by nobles for hard labor or combat.

However, when he finally graduates from The Constructory, the place where votaries are trained, he starts to have doubts. "Can I really forget my past and submit fully to my job? Is that any way to live?" These thoughts are forbidden for a votary, so he pushes them down.

Unfortunately, the noble he gets assigned to has other plans.
