Prince Valen is destined to defeat the Void King and save the realm. There’s just one problem: Valen has the survival instincts of a suicidal lemming and the tactical awareness of a head of cabbage. He forgets to unsheathe his sword, tries to make friends with high-level mimics, and has a tragic habit of standing on crumbling cliff edges to admire "the view."

Kaelen is the royal bodyguard tasked with keeping the idiot alive. He is the only person in the world caught in alocalized time loopthat resets every time the Prince dies.

After four thousand loops, Kaelen has mastered every blade, memorized every enemy ambush, and learned exactly how many seconds it takes for a Wyvern to exhale. He is a Level 99 shadow-warrior trapped in a Level 1 escort mission from hell.

But the loop is shrinking. The Void King’s forces are growing stronger with every reset, and Kaelen’s patience is finally at its breaking point. If he can’t drag this "Hero" to the Final Temple before the world collapses, they'll both be erased for good.
