  The story has a lot of elements that are competing against one another while the narration tells the details in a rather plain way, it feels more of an outline than of a narrative story as a result. Such description is given to what seems impossibilities of the planet and the life itself, from the mechanics of the soil to the way in which the food production is possible. I was lost in what was happening because it was not grounded as it likely was through the author's mind.
  One particular part that made no sense to me was about how a movie was made and that somehow due to crisises (unrelated to the planet) caused all these fatalities and as a result theaters couldn't fill the job vacancies. I was at a complete loss here for why it was even in the story. It just did not fit to me, and it was not the only part to feel out of place. The structure and detail gets in the way of expressing a single idea. It is not bad, just a bit jumbled and out of focus in places.
