Started reading this and already know it's going to be a doozy.  It's always refreshing when you have to start looking at the plot from a whole new level of abstraction...  I don't want to throw out spoilers, so I can't be explicit, this looks similar to a common trope, it's going in a very interesting direction.

This is a great story, in a well developed world.  There is a lot going on, and it is constantly being revealed as the world is revealed.

    I can't wait to see what's next.

    Reviewed as of chapter 15.
Read the first 3 sentences and see if you can put it down.
At first glance, I was expecting an absurdist comedy; perhaps a low-risk plot with some creative quips. No doubt, something I'm into. While the story does have a lot of (solid) humor, it's far from a farce. It takes what should be a completely silly premise and begins crafting an engaging, compelling story with stakes. I'm into that even more.
Style: Clean prose with good flow. It's distinctive enough to feel like I'm reading something fresh without getting in its own way. I see the characters and environments clearly without having to slog through paragraphs of description. Efficient, but colorful. Chef's kiss.
Grammar: I did not spot a single obvious error. I don't think that's ever happened to me on this site.
Story: I WANT TO KNOW. I NEED MORE. GIVE IT TO ME. *Ahem* The story pulls you in with the promise of a creative use of a well-worn isekai trope, told from an unusual perspective. Then, the mysteries emerge. The engaging universe-hopping feels like it serves as the bedrock for the plot rather than being an adornment or embellishment solely for Rule of Cool (something it has so far in spades, regardless). Can't wait for more chapters.
Character: MC is a bit world-weary. He has a solid foundation of everyman, augmented by some more interesting characteristics. Each member of the cast of supporting characters feels like a distinct individual with their own cadence, motivations, and secrets. None of the side-characters have been developed too far since there hasn't yet been room to explore their lives, but what exists feels deep and distinctive, with the promise that much more lives under the surface.
TL;DR: It's a great story, well-written, and more than meets the eye.

after reading this story you'll likely never see another isekai story the same way again.  I yrully enjoyed reading this story and hope that someday it will be picked back up again. I enjoy how the story uses system magic from many stories, as well as the abstract to push the narrative in a compelling dorection.

This work does a great job of justifying common genre quirks- why do so many legendary heroes to be end up in private conversations with goddesses? Where do the conveniently timed trucks come from- while still maintaining the sense of self awareness that make Dion's works great. A strong plot with enticing foreshadowing, layered characters, and an expansive setting make this work a rollercoaster- one I predict you'll heartily enjoy!

The Truck Effect is my favourite story currently releasing. It has perfect prose, an engaging mystery, and the worldbuilding is the perfect mix of absurd, self-consistent and logical. The premise is pretty silly, but the story definitely earns being taken seriously, and I recommend giving it a go even if a truck assassin making sure the isekai run on time sounds too much like crack to you.

Skylark is one of, if not the best writer on RR.
Pure trucking creativity. His last story is one of my all time favorites. It seems this one won’t disappoint.
I don’t know how skylark manages to weave tension and craziness from the very beginning without being overwhelming. But it works, it works way too good and I want more.
I’ve been feeling for a while that the “isekai” genre is dead, that nothing new can be done with it.
Im suspecting someone locked skylark in a box, armed with a computer that can only run RR and Truck Simulator.
The writing is immaculate, the characters real and the premise thrilling… Imagine a full page of such compliments and some 10/10 reviews from newspapers and read the trucking story.

The MC is not some grossly overpowered idiot, but rather a working man working to better the world, stumbling into questions he never should have asked, and a pawn at the mercy of powers greater than himself. His worldview is being shattered, he's being thrown into mysteries that defy everything he knows, and he asked for none of it.
The story is very well written, and I don't think I've even seen a single typo so far. The writing style is excellent. Some people think it's occasionally confusing, but I always find exactly as many clues as are needed to come to the right conclusions. Not everything is stated outright, so if you need handholding for every step of the plot, this might not be your kind of experience. But goshdarn if you can keep up, then the story is gripping and makes you thirst for more every step of the way. Also there is magic. Weird magic.
Oh, and the main character's job description is "assassin". Make of that what you will.

Well written, interesting universe with distinctive characters and characteristics. I specially liked the interplay of different "magic" systems and the villain's whole concept.
It combines comedy with a serious plot, plays with the tropes of the genre and is overall above platform standards, that probably explains why it wasn't more popular.

Very interesting! Still early, but the story seems promising. I like the way the skills are explored and used in the story. The main character and writing is also good. I've run into a string of stories recently where the author thought they were funny. I much prefer the more low key, but interesting character here
