Description

Proto wakes up in the misty halls of the Lord of Dreams' palace, and he’s given a new job—to visit dreams and make sure they turn out well. As a dream visitor, Proto fails, makes a fool of himself, and—against all odds—makes friends too. And maybe more than friends...? It’s hard to tell. There’s something off in how people here are looking at him. There’s something he’s not understanding. And there are other things none of them understand—for instance, the ominous reddening of the skies and streaking lights that keep appearing in the dreams they visit. What’s coming for them? What’s coming for the world? Winner of the IRDA Book Awards Cover art by Charles Utting

In fact I stayed up until 9 am last night reading it, fighting my eyelids open the whole time. This author has a way with dialouge that makes you want to keep reading, there's no good stopping points because you just want to keep going.

The story doesn’t drop a lot of exposition on you. Instead, it guides you through a series of events that speak for themselves. I also like how real world events seep through the dreams, both subtle and not.
I highly recommend giving this a read.
