Description
SYNOPSIS:
Having survived an apocalyptic future, Adam awakens in the past with the knowledge that Earth's survival hinges on a popular VR game called World of Pangea. While other players see the game as a source of fun and income, Adam knows it’s the key to unlocking real-world powers essential for battling the monsters that will soon overrun Earth. As he navigates the game, using his future knowledge as an advantage, he must race against professional players to uncover the secret of Awakening- the only method to transfer in-game abilities to the real world and ensure humanity's survival.

TROPES IN PLAY
Apocalypse:Eventually... but for now (and probably for most of the next 200 chapters), it is technically a VRMMO series.
Class Systems:The class system is Skyrim-like. You can have as many classes as you like, but it comes at the cost of spreading your skill points/perks too thin.
Dungeons/Gates/Portals:Within the game, that is. But also, eventually, in the real world.
Occasionally switching of POV:Sometimes, certain chapters feature other characters to break Adam's continuous grind.
OP MC
Regression:And all the shenanigans that go with it
Solo MC:Adam usually does stuff solo

- SlizeerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story so far has been a blend of Apocalypse Regression and your classic MMORPG. Adam goes back in time, gets in on the huge game it's released and uses future knowledge to cheese the start of the game. It's an action packed story with told mostly from Adam's POV and definitely worth the read.
As of the end of book 1/the start of book 2, 1-3 months of real world time have gone by. The apocalypse part of this book is supposed to come into play 3 years in. I don't know how that is going to play out exactly, but there either needs to be a massive time skip, the apocalypse needs to get started early, or there is gonna be a major transition where the story moves from online to real life 5-7 books into this story. I'm currently hoping that there's gonna be a bunch of mini time skips where Adam steps back and lets the rest of the world get good at the game before the world ends, but we'll see how it goes.
Sarkdouls123 just came back from a scheduled 7 month hiatus, so while it might take a while and be inconsistent, I think it's safe to say this story isn't just gonna randomly get dropped part way through any of the individual books. - JM5109Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0The Author is skillfully executing a reincarnation and rewind of the MC's life to a few years prior.
Armed with the knowledge of how launch went and the basics of some easy grind spots and quests to leverage, while discovering some new and potent options and subtly changing the future as he goes, our MC is staying a step ahead of the streamer guilds.
I binged the whole thing today after finding it.
Very few spelling/grammar issues and a good plot that is slowly revealed throughout letting us know more of the approaching end and the way MC first experienced it. 5/5. - Peter HeitmanRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I started reading this because the author posted a request that people check it out. It is very well written albeit with a few misspelled words and grammatical errors (not enough to distract from the quality of the story!) I really like the progression of the MC. I'm definitely invested to see where the story goes
- RumtwistRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Look a decent story, for casual reading. Then this one might be for you. The only con I've seen with the story is real life keeping the author busy. So this story will be one you you'll read, then wait a couple of weeks for the next installments.
Best of luck, give the story a chance. Take care all. - EllasDadTylerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I have really enjoyed the start to this story! The characters are well developed and it doesn’t fall into ALL the regressor tropes. I like the system best of all. I am also really excited to see what the third class will be! The future of this story is bright and I think the differences in the characters from the future will be interesting to see.
- Detrius VimesRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5I really liked the story at the beginning. An interesting and fun premise, I was able to overlook some faults. But as the story dragged on, the constant tell not show started to grate more and more. It honestly felt like the constant linfo dumps were either rehashing something that had already been mostly covered, or pointing out things (over and over and over) that a 5 year old would be able to infer. It got to the point where I’m fairly certain a lot of it is to pad the word/page count, which is tragic because there’s enough great story to be told to not have to resort to those tactics. It’s like I’m reading a translated Chinese novel sometimes with the overexposition. Don’t even get me started on the continual switching from past to present tense for no reason whatsoever.
To conclude, author- I’m not trying to tear you down here, but unless these things are cleared up I can’t see your story being as successful as it deserves- and it is creative and captivating enough to deserve a lot. Please please please look into this - Davey daveRoyal Road★★★ 3.0If you like a classic time travel do over you will enjoy it. Provided you can overlook the mechanics described. If you can't, or you are a pedant such as myself it's best passed by.
First style score: it's a litrpg with a large focus on stats, not necessarily a bad thing, if it's your thing. However the math is inconsistent, makes little sense. Additionally despite explicitly explaining requirements, they only seem to apply to the main char, despite him supposedly being op.
For example, in one chapter it states that someone can have between 1-9 on a base stat, with base stats totaling between 40-50 average, 70 good, 80-90 exeptiona. Yet then state after bonuses he is as powerful as a lvl20, despite that effectively being only 30% stronger (maybe 90% if they average or poor), than others he somehow can dominate where a team of five cannot even deal with any.
Story score: for a classic back in time do over vr post apocalypse. It's quite cookie cutter, but cookies can be tasty, hence 4 star.
The grammar is better than mine, so I can't really complain here.
The characters need a bit of work, so far I've only seen the MC have any real descriptions, but they seem quite 2d. - RaganashRoyal Road★★★ 3.0A standard isekai cliche with an interesting system, that changes up the formula a tiny bit. The writing style and grammar is the real issue for me. Personally the book comes off as a...monotonous read. The style isn't engaging at all. The grammar also suffers from errors, and bad word choice that leave me confused. There are also lots of inconsistencies. I will continue read and see if the book improves
