This novel is fantastic so far. The author nails the worldbuilding, the backstory/setting and the character development - especially the character development. Going into the story and reading the character's thoughts and motivations, I was worried it was going to be standard-fare "what if I introduced X into a fantasy setting" premise, the X being capitalism. While that premise does seem to be in place, what is fantastic is that the main character has learned from their prior life experiences, but also changes and grows throughout his second life, moving away from the idea of not making the same mistake twice and more towards the idea of having a more fulfilling life, such that there are multiple growth and development avenues in place besides "bigger number = better person". It is this change in priorities that makes it easier to relate to the former billionaire(?) protagonist, which is no easy feat by any means.
The only downside is that there's not enough chapters, a demerit that will whittle away over time. Can't wait for the next chapter!

I waited to give the main character a chance because of how much I liked the story. The author did not disappoint. He turned a horrible copy of Lloyd with no good points into a more relatable and likeable character. Don't get me wrong, the Mc was unbearable for the first 15 or so chapters, but he later had such impressive character development that saved this novel in my opinion. It is definitely worth a follow.

As I mostly read to relax, feel happy and lose myself in the story, am enjoying this story a lot as it fits the criteria which I usually get attracted to:
Good MC who is not unbearably morally grey (I dont mind "flawed" MC's but i just don't want to think too hard and justify all their actions and feel sad - I just want to feel happy about people trying their best to do the right thing)
3d characters with good dialogues
Strong female characters who are not just props and body parts
A story that is going somewhere - not just a "get stronger at all cost and defy the heavens" sort of thing
Fast paced with decent twists and not much of overly detailed fights, stats and lengthy internal monologues about agonizing and analysing all the numbers (if such are there I will be skimming coz I don't have that much energy or time nowadays to really get into it - i am sure it appeals to a lot of people)
So there - if something like the above is something you'll like then you can give this story a try.
