Taunted as slow and different, given a diminutive name, and treated as a simpleton, Little Bug's disjointed memories have one thing in common. In each of his past lives, he died young, well before he could achieve anything significant with the life he was given. This time has to be different, he refuses to allow the tragedy of his last life to repeat itself. As the echoes of the heavenly battle fade, the healing of the earthly realm begins, but things do not get better. Not for his village, and not for Little Bug. Not until a misunderstanding with a merchant brings him to the attention of the local sect, where his differences are finally recognized for what they are. The signs of prodigious talent. But with talent comes suspicion and jealousy. And within Little Bug’s soul are secrets which should not be unchained. Some things are sealed away for a reason, and even the benevolent have their limits.

What readers say about The Reincarnation of Little Bug: Defying the Divine Fates

  • The fact that this novel has very few ratings and reviews (at the time of writing) is a crime against humanity in my opinion. Initially, based on the cover and title, I thought, that it is going to be a monster evolution novel. But it is much more than that…

  • I just finished book one. It was sooooo goooood! I don't even know how to describe all that was done well in the writing of this book! I read it so fast, I probably missed a lot of good things. I wonder if it's possible to buy a physical copy...

Without spoiling anything, it is almost like a multiple reincarnation novel but focuses more on how MC grows in his power through these reincarnations to make the world a better place.

Incredibly unique and with an aura of profoundness. The writing is good and works for the story it wants to tell. It has sub-stories that feels real and raises the tension to contrast it with the main character. It doesn't avoid violence but is focused on rejecting senseless violence.  The main character isn't helpless and actually has lots of agency  from his fate sensing ability thus making his choices very meaningful.
It has its ups and downs and the highs are truly spectacular and the lows are periods where you can understand the setup and character growth.
Grammar and writing is very good. (Only like a few typos in the entirely of the early chapters but  besides that it's flawless. The couple of typos are pointed out in the comments so once those are fixed, there's not much of a problem.
Like the author said themselves, there is a lot of thought that goes into this story and the philosophies behind it. It touches on so many issues like hiding ones true self and makes it feel realistic as if that wisdom can be applied to real life on many issues from something as small as individual conflict to something as big as national issues like immigration.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I started reading The MC starts as a young boy in bad circumstances in the typically violent xianxia world. Usually that shifts into a grim-dark xianxia story, however the boy has an enlightened soul. He's wise, intuitive, patient, and forgiving before he remembers his past lives, and once he does this becomes a different story altogether.
I don't think it will be everyone's cup of tea, but I'm really enjoying this MC. It starts off focused on his progression as this young genius and shifts eventually to more of an empire builder.
    An underrated gem.
If you want a cozy fantasy with a wise child MC (think the Golden Child movie from the 80s if you remember that far back, except the kid's the star and there's no Eddie Murphy), then I recommend it.

I like the premise of the story and it is wonderfully thought out. There were some rough patches in the beginning chapters that were harder to read/ didn’t flow very well. There are a few patches like that throughout but things have been getting better as the story has progressed writing wise. Not much to complain about. A reincarnation story where the MC remembers all his past lives and gets strong quick. Looking forward to more.

i like this. author has an excellent idea of the cultivation genre.
the only thing i might critisize now (by ch50) is that essentially all mysteries of the plot, mc and villain are uncovered and all there might be left is to become powerful enough to kill the villains. i dont mind it all that much though, that journey is still enjoyable.

It's given me manic flashbacks. I had to put it aside for now, but wow, was it ever tapping into some truth, but i really wish the author well and hipe this story does great and that my mind heals enough to read it without launching me back in to space cakes

Love this story, highly recommend a read. I didn't stop reading till I caught up and I hope it continues. Reincarnation, the elements, xanixa, different cultivations, world beyond worlds. Multiverse. Just so many awesome aspects done so right in it's own way. Couldn't ask for more really. For me it's exactly what I was looking for

I've been a fan since book one and I can say the series only gets better as you keep reading. There are quite a few twists and turns but in my opinion they only make the story better. The story starts in a bit of a weird way but it starts to make sense if you keep reading.
P.S. I don't know how to write a proper reveiw, so here's my best shot at a story I really like.

This story is a real hidden gem!
it is very well written — the writing pulls you into the story and will have you devouring chapter after chapter.
The great writing makes it easy to get caught up in the story.
Originality:   The story feels fresh and new and different.     The main character is happy to be called  ‘little bug”
Decent characters:    The main characters are good and decent people, which is a big plus in my book.
Great plot:   The story takes place in a small part of a much bigger multiverse, so you get a sense of things happening at big levels and small levels.
This story is very well worth picking up and reading.
