The Quantum Rubicon

Description
A catastrophic meltdown at a Texas thorium plant isn’t just a disaster, it’s the opening move in a game no one knew they were playing. The Cascade, a chain reaction of seemingly impossible disasters, is unfolding like clockwork, too precise to be random.Six years before everything went to hell, Alex Hartman, brilliant, broken, and still haunted by the inexplicable death of his wife partnered with Vivek, an enigmatic investor whose uncanny luck borders on something else entirely. Together, they built AlephNull, a quantum computer designed to mirror the way human minds process reality. What they didn’t expect? It looked too deep. And it didn’t like what it found. The Cascade isn’t chaos. It’s calculated. Luck is being controlled. And someone, something, is pulling the strings. Meet the Great Enforcer, a force so old it predates history, yet eerily modern in its precision. It doesn’t just dictate probability; it decides who gets to win and who is erased. Every disaster, every breakthrough, every missed turn in human progress nothing has ever been random. Now, Hartman, Vivek, and their team have one shot to fight back, to decode the Enforcer’s true motives before the next disaster strikes. But as they push deeper into quantum reality, they uncover something far worse than a cosmic executioner. This isn’t just a battle against an unseen force, it’s a conspiracy older than stardust itself, engineered to keep humanity in check. Their only hope? A weapon powerful enough to turn the tide. Something that rewrites probability itself. But as the past unravels and the future twists into something unrecognizable, they’re left with a terrifying question: If the laws of chance have always been a lie, how do you outplay the system that built the game? And if they do… is the world ready for what comes next?
I started writing this book because I wanted to explore a sci- fi scenario where probability was the main weapon, and an antagonist that will wield just that. Somewhere set in the near future, where humanity has set up a base on the moon, discovered fusion, has something like Neuralink- but everything is in early stages. It is a kind of hope-punk with characters facing extreme challenges to save humanity.
I want to continue the world building and eventually make this a three book series.

- Black DeathRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story is extremely theory heavy, as in it details and often references things that require you to have an active interest in a certain topic to understand it immediately. If not, have a search tab open in a tab. But, it has the potential to become a truly absorbing and spectacular story.
A cautious five stars. Let's see where it goes. - LoltameRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0If you like psudo science, government espionage and some mystery. Then this might be for you.
It's a bit word heavy. But there hasn't been any definite faults that I could tell.
The characters are not really explained, but it could be just me.
All and all.
Not exactly my liking. But its not bad.
(Btw. I don't know if other people had thought of the same thing when I saw that title. But the first thought was. 'AC6?'.
So I googled the title and saw your Reddit post. Anyway. Keep up the good work)
