The Qi to Immortality
Community Rating
Description
The Golden Rule of transmigration into a xianxia world is not to get involved in the affairs of important characters. Death follows them, bearing down on the ordinary people they interact with.
For months Zhao Mi has managed to abide by this self imposed rule, making a living as an Assistant Admissions Disciple for the Misty Cradle Sect. When a misstep with a young master places him in the sights of a heartless clan intent on saving face, the only viable solution is to invert the Golden Rule. To surround himself with enough important characters that their fortune bleeds into Zhao Mi’s humble life.
Walking such a path will require surviving violence, navigating politics, and unraveling conspiracies. The otherworldly knowledge he possesses might give Zhao Mi a chance at emerging unharmed. Whether his modern soul can weather the immorality of life in Jianghu is another matter.

Great style and characters. The dark/gritty theme gives this story something generally lost with classical chiese xianxia nonsense.
Thanks Author!

The author does a good job of incorporating the genre's elements into the story without making it feel forced or unnatural. The prose flows smoothly and the pacing is well-balanced, allowing the reader to easily immerse themselves in the world of the story. For readers that are unfamiliar with the genre an appendix could be helpful.
Story: The story starts off with an intriguing hook that immediately draws the reader in, and it doesn't waste any time jumping into the action. The plot is well-developed and there are enough twists and turns to keep the reader engaged. While it is still early in the story, it shows a lot of potential and I am looking forward to seeing where it goes next.
Characters: The characters are slowly beginning to reveal their personalities and motivations. While they are still in the process of development, they show a lot of potential and are starting to become more dynamic and interesting. It is clear that the author has put a lot of thought into their development, and I am looking forward to seeing how they evolve as the story progresses.
Grammar: I didn't notice any glaring grammar issues while reading the story. The prose is well-written and easy to read, with no awkward sentence structures or typos. Overall, the story reads smoothly and naturally.
Overall, this story shows a lot of promise and is definitely worth checking out for fans of the xianxia genre. The author does a great job of incorporating the genre's elements into the story, and the characters are starting to become more interesting and dynamic. The writing is smooth and easy to read, and there are no noticeable grammar issues. I am looking forward to reading more of this story and seeing where it goes from here. - EdLincolnRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This story is a Xianxia Deconstruction that takes itself seriously enough to not completely undermine tension. Zhao Mi is Isekaid into a Fantasy China. It is not explicitly set in a book, but the world he finds himself in is enough like one Zhao looks for "main characters:...and finds a set of characters straight out of Xianxia Central Casting.
Zhao Mi is generally a sane, non-murdery MC who would rather live his life and play it safe. Ultimately this proves impossible, and he is forced to deal with thoser he labels "Main Characters". His knowledge from Xianxia books makes him seem like a cryptic sage to others.
The book is generally well written and generally well edited. - Skeleton KingRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0It is an interesting take, however, the direction it is going is not to my liking. It is mere a matter of preference. For me, if you are a morally righteous character then be so till the end, never be hypocritical even if it may "look" like the better option. You should spit in the face of the world, dying for your ideals. The prerequisite being they are indeed correct and not a twisted form of injustice.
