Description

Thirty+ writers. One story. Limited knowledge. Absolute chaos. Welcome to the pub.

What's Cliff to do when he gets lost bar-hopping with his friends? Why, enter the nearest bar of course! Though, he doesn’t recall seeing this one before. Inside he goes on the wildest bender of his life — one that leaves him with more questions than just how he got this hangover. Why is that three-headed reptilian talking to a goblin? What do you mean you’ve never heard of Earth? Where does that door go then? A volcano?!

There’s always room for one more at the pub between, but getting inside is a lot easier than getting home.

What The Heck Am I Reading?

You are about to read a storytelling experiment the likes of which you’ve never seen before. Or at least not since grade school. Each writer contributes one chapter to the whole, but they can only read the chapter directly before theirs. No notes, no outlines. Minimal context. Maximum madness. Will it be coherent? Absolutely not. Will it be entertaining? Without a doubt. Buckle up for an insane ride.

Without even reading the story so far, I wanted to leave a review. Having read the works of a lot of the authors on this list, I am not worried about the overall quality of writing. Heck, I was introduced to this work through Splinter Angel, by AvaritaBona.
The reason for the review was the sheer innovation and creativity that this project has created. From reading on RoyalRoad for over a decade now, this is by far the most interesting concept and collaborative effort I have seen on the sight, and I needed to support it.
Check out their other works, and heck, this entire book can be a way to recommend different readers to different authors too.
