- RznRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This was bleak, definitely mind the tags on this one as it is exactly what the blurb says it is but with a bit of a more savage and poisonous tone to it, figuratively I am assuming in the story. The prose is strong and the focus is simple and it goes to disturb the reader. It does well in that respect, but the fundamental aspect of the relationship requires the context of the blurb that is not in the story and much of the relationship itself is left in the ether. Fundamentally, that makes the piece a bit lacking and instead puts more strain on the shock of the situation to carry the emotion.
