Description
Necromancer. That word used to be feared throughout the continent, perhaps the world. Now barely anybody knows what it means. The necromancers of old were powerful, cunning, and insidious. Masters of death, they held the power to sway the fate of nations. The tales of their exploits are all but legends and myths now, stories from a time long forgotten. There is a war brewing, between the two great nations of Janaro and Klavan. Caught in the middle and framed for treason, a historian will exercise magic long lost in order to carve his mark on the world.

- deth_kidRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0i like how the author build the MC and how pacing of the story
- Zombie UnicorneRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Great so far. The few chapters that are out, skillfully establish the tone and the world without it being over bearing.
Hope the author stick to it's current route(dark and gritty) and I hope that the story fully utilize the "tragedy" tag.
Well....A path of a necromancer can't be all sunshine and the journey to discover the secrets of life & death is filled with darkness. Can't wait to see how the story develops. - UmbrawolfRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5A Top Notch necromancy story, needs far more attention even with only 4 chapters
Keep up the good work :D - xipzoRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I like this, its a little fast paced for its first chapters and could use more surroundings and charrachter details to build up the atmosphere more, but other than that it is a perfect novel.
- TonyIsMyBitchRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The story is as cliche as yuoould get! it''s your average power fantasy with a gary stu main character and a simple hoe as love interest. teh grammer is awful. i mean jesus christ, dude. a chair and a table is different things. the main character is nothing but the ol' self insert. it's overall shit
7/10 - Master2580Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5Readed it all in one sitting, and I've got to say, it was a very pleasent surprise finding a story of good quality such as this one being featured at the home page. The sinopsis was pretty Interesting so I chose to give it a try. Wasn't disappointed at all.
Found a well established MC (personnality wise), good character and worldbuilding, good grammar and, above all else, an Interesting take on the necromantic Power Tree as well as Sigil construction (and therefore magical theory).
All in all, a very Interesting and entertaining read, would recommend, 10/10 would read again, and I actually can't see why this story is not at least at the monthly top five (as of now, at least). Maybe it needs more reviews ;) - RalickRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5I have to say, the writing in this is fairly good, and the story is interesting enough. I enjoy this refreshing change of story, and will definitely be re-reading to gain a better grasp on what I just speed-read. Now I'm going to break down what I liked, and give a few suggestions.
Style: The story has a consistent tone throughout, which is good. From its combat and exploration pacing, along with dialogue it is very easy to follow. I would say you should perhaps give it a darker tone overall, and maybe venture into the more darker aspects of people, and the world. Have more monstrous monster along with nature(An example would be like the monsters of the monsterblood tattoo series. Or like how the fable series is populated with hobbes and balvorines, along with the undead and more). Definitely leave out the Xianxia, especially seeing as the feel is still more associative with a more american novel. Like spells, instead of lettering ranks, perhaps a more skyrim like ranking of novice to master level.
Story: I liked the beginning, and it is easy to follow. Right now though, it seems a little to rushed and fast paced in where it is going. It would have been I think, a better experience of Kaz being welcomed back, and being 'tasked' with scholarly duties of reordering the library, and taking notes of the battle/what happened. During the times, he can have a little more interaction with the people of the keep, maybe give a greater tie-in with his homeland, and gives greater focus to the betrayal(which could be set up by pagan during his scholarly duties). Maybe have him actually make a few preparations(Journals and some basic/novice magic theory.) Make sure everything fits in thematically. If it feels too outlandish, or like its stretching it to put into the story, don't. Chances are it will feel weird for the weirder.
Grammar: Seems good, And I don't see anything particularly standing out.
Character: I really think you have a good start here, a character who is logical, - SandsforeverRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5I finished in about a day
It was an ok story would have rated higher if the story wasn't dead oh well
