Description
Athos is a good dog. He likes frisbee, bacon, and his family (SmolFriend, Mom, and Dad). He's not so keen on falling through an interdimensional portal to a fantasy world where floating boxes tell you that you've just been given status as the 'Supreme Exemplar' of your species, a powerful package of abilities that includes human-level intelligence. Sure, being smart is nice but less so when it comes with the need to survive in a land made from bits of different dimensions stitched together like patches in a quilt. A thousand species, a thousand lands, sorcery and super science rubbing elbows, wars and intrigue everywhere...it's exhausting for a good dog who just wants to go home!
Note that this is a work in progress with lots of fiddly numbers so I will occasionally need to go back and fix errors, and this might affect events of earlier chapters. I'll try to keep this to a minimum and will post a note whenever it happens.

- AlexSmartyPantsRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I've been following eaglejarl's works for a few years now and I am glad that he never fails to deliver a good story. This one is even better: worldbuilding is top-notch; the system is fresh (separate "thank you" for not using XP as the basis); the characters each have their personality, goals, and flaws.
The only downside is rare updates, but that's what you pay for quality: I wouldn't prefer it the other way. - AshtarRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It's a good Litrpg, with a lovely non-human but very human sympathetic main character. The system's interactions with the plot and world all make sense, which I find to be a rarity in this genre and what keeps me from enjoying most other Litrpgs. Lots of fun character interactions abound with the main character being an uplifted animal, and I always enjoy it.
Full disclosure, I'm extremely biased in favor of the author, as I've been following his works for a long time. Suffice to say I've always known him to be extremely reliable at producing good content at a good pace. - Felix HelixihareRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I recommend reading this story. It stands over most of the trash I read on this site. The MC is an adorable one and the system is on the unique side. The system doesn't contract the plot, and in fact, complements. The story wouldn't be the same without the system.
The POV is unique. The shift in thought in parts where Athos gets a cognitive upgrade is quite unique. He's still pretty primitive, but that's really why I'm here. - ResunaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Athos is the best dog, and despite his phenomenal cosmic powers all he wants is to go back to his family. Even if he has to fight his way through literal demons and deal with one of the thickest and most callous fellow adventurers ever to take advantage of a good boy.
- argusthecatRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a fun start to a story I look forward to reading a lot more of. The dog-perspective is done super well, our protagonist is a Good Boy which I always love, and there's a lot of good 'comedy of errors' stuff here.
- Carl AntuarRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5It's really sweet to see phenomenal cosmic power wedded to the trusting optimistic outlook of a dog. A human in his position might well set out to start grinding and accumulating as much personal power as possible, but Athos just wants to look after his friends and go home to his family - which works well, because it keeps the story character-focused instead of becoming a simple power fantasy.
The storyline isn't the next Star Wars or Harry Potter, but it's effective, and the numerical aspects are visible enough to interest nerds like myself yet low-key enough that they don't just take over. The author is engaged in his work and responsive to feedback.
