There are some grammer issues and some issues with changing points of view that might be flashbacks or might be other characters.
However, I rate by how much fun I have reading a story and the grammer issues are not bad enough to apreaciably lessen my enjoyment of the story.
    EDIT:
The longer I read this the more I enjoy it.  The grammer has been worked out in the later chapters.  So, it shows that the writer is learning his craft.
Also, I forgot to mention why I enjoy reading this story.  Time to fix that.
I enjoy reading characters who are good people.
Note flawed characters may be interesting but characters so flawed that they should be institutionalized are not innovative (that was in the 70's BTW).
Solving problems and learning about new worlds are fun for me.  If I can do it with the characters, that's even better.  That what this story does.
It has characters who are both generally good as well as interesting.  It also has a world that I get to enjoy exploring with the characters.

Honestly I'm really enjoying the way the novel has turned out. Seeing how the story is written in a legible manner and stays interesting is always a bonus. The characters for the most part don't feel one dimensional. So far there hasn't been a tone of action but the tense moments don't feel forced or out of place. If you're into dungeon core stories this is a must read with a good premise.
