- NatarajaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The beginning is a bit slow, the romance really starts from chapter five and will delight lovers of the genre.
- Style & Grammar
This is well written, no grammar, syntax nor style issues. The layout is good which makes the text pleasant to read. I want to emphasize how well written this fiction is. The reading is really easy without sacrificing style, everything that happens is crystal clear which really allows you to dive into the story without any second thoughts.
- Story
The prologue is absolutely great, the first chapter a bit slow but as a new character is introduced so it goes well, the second and third start to be a bit painful for lack of visible stakes. If the MC found out about the arranged marriage plans for her and there was a conflict about it that would improve the situation, same with some mysterious info and a short conversation with the stranger. The rescue was a bit far fetched for my taste by the way. From chapter four we enter a very classic romance that fans of the genre will enjoy.
- Character
The characters are well developed, as well as their past, their personality, their thoughts, their relationships or their goals. Maybe a little too detailed at the beginning, which is at the expense of the story, but it's a difficult balance to find. - BullerRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Cool naming scheme but one I had to spend a few seconds understanding whenever I reached it. Sad thing is I can't even spell to them. Cool stuff regardless.
Story is fine as it is. Romance is developing with initial promises, though I never reached the point where it got more clear. A few hints here and there and general characterisation of the main personalities is all that's been given for now. Sentence-structure was weird at points but overall fine. Grammar had no obvious issues.
4.5/5 from me. - OrbInAirRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I have very little experience with slow burns, so I can’t speak for the pacing of things. I will say, though, that if you’re going to give this story a chance, don’t write it off until you’ve hit at least chapter 10; things might seem black-and-white until then, but eventually you get to the hidden layers, and when you do they’re enticing and well-crafted.
The two main characters are romance classics, with strong charisma and good looks. The female lead gets more attention than the male in the first part, but the author’s skill assures me that the other half of the duo will get his fair share of interiority later on. Perhaps a little less of the “two beautiful people will obviously fall for each other” set-up would have been nice for me, but that’s a personal gripe and not a professional one.
Grammatically, the story is exceptional. Typos are next to non-existent, and sentences flow naturally both in description and dialogue. The linguistic keys at the tops of certain chapters are very useful, and also a fun learning opportunity if you’re a language fan.
Stylistically, I have to reuse the adjective exceptional. TOS is clearly written by an author who reads voraciously, and is aware of the conventions of novel-writing. There are no surprises, and no experimental quirks; just solid prose, solid narration, and solid structure.
Overall I am very tempted to give this story a 5-star overall, except for the slightly-too-strong pulling on clichés. Nothing wrong with a good cliché! But I had seen too many of these plot points before, and they didn’t feel quite fresh enough this time around. Maybe another few chapters would have proven me wrong, but time was against me. - strigidae713Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5Wow just wow, you must be trusting yourself and confident in yourself putting a romance novel in the place where fantasy or LitRPGs were everywhere. I love the romance genre, of course, the problem with it is either you met the guy too fast, or you fall in love too fast. Here, you made it like the meeting was an accident.
Style: a couple of pov change here and there, but it all relates to the story in some way or another. Doesn't have a problem with that. Honestly, I am surprised how can people make two separate stories that one story, it boggles the mind. Oh yeah, how you describe each unimportant thing to just set the tone was not really to my liking, but that's just a personal opinion.
Story: basically, I watched a lot of Bollywood movies when I was young and if you want to see Bollywood stories but in writing, this is how you do it! The drama is there, how the babuji was concerned about her and blamed someone else, oh imagine putting it with her facial expression. Must be a sight to see. If you like horses or want to find a romance with a different alternative to it, here you go, the author got it! Not entirely a new take on the genre but somehow seems more natural and not something impossible to happen.
Grammar: After rereading the story again, I don't really have any problem with the grammar. I would say that the author has a perfect understanding of the English language in general, even sometimes, her choices in using different voices were actually nice.
Characters: I don't have a problem with the characters in the story, they all have their own characteristics and traits. It's believable to me for them to actually act the way they are without explaining much about their past. - Ariadne_YarnRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0We start with Aditi, the female lead in the story, who loves horses. Soon she meets her prince charming but she has a love-hate relationship with the male lead. The romance starts out mild and builds up slowly which has been pretty good so far.
1. Story.
The story starts with 23-year old Aditi who is wild, fun, intelligent, beautiful and loves horses. A wildcat indeed. There is an underlying mystery involving strange behaviour from horses that has yet to be expounded on. The romance aspect however, is going good so far with the build up.
2. Style.
I like how the author uses apt descriptions of the environment to amplify the character development. And the writing has been easy to follow. The internal POV also allows us to peek into the inner voices of the people.
3. Grammar.
The grammar is a solid 4.5 stars with only a few errors here and there.
4. Characters
The characters are well-defined and relatable. I like the female and male lead so far. Each with their own motivations and desires. So good job on that, author!
5. Closing
It’s an interesting romance story so far while I do find it a little cliche. Nonetheless, the way it’s delivered makes it a worthwhile read. Definitely give it a try especially if you like romance stories. - Outback QuillRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0A well written story, in a genre not often seen on RR which is bogged down by High Fantasy, Reincarnation, Isekai, LitRPG, and Xianxia.
Style-
The pacing is well done, though there are a few places were it felt rushed it was not detrimental to the story. The structuring of the story in regards to paragraphs and dialogue does need some work, but those are minor things that can be overlooked. While the story contains some previously unknown terms, the author does provide a glossary of those words in author notes, which I was happy for as I did find myself confused at times. At times I wished there was a little more show then tell, but all in all, the point came across regardless.
Grammar-
While there are a few grammar mishaps, along with some instances where I believe the author was intending to structuring issues it does not take away from the story.
Characters -
The character’s are well fleshed out with backstory, but at times I found it hard to feel invested in the main characters. I believe this is more a style issue than one with the characters themselves. At times, the story itself felt distant, and thus leaves the reader feeling distance. However, this is only my personal feeling, and all readers are different with how they attach to characters.
Closing comments-
All in all, a decent read, which I found both interesting and even a little educational as I learnt some new things while reading. If you want to read something a little different from the RR norm, give it a read.
