My writing process involves a lot of dictation, due to a medical issue with my left wrist/hand that leaves me unable to use it for typing, along with a bunch of other health issues that I won't get into. The dictation programI use is called Dragon naturally speaking and I also use a program called pro-writing aid for editing grammar and other minor things, as I can't afford to spend thousands on editors. These both classified as A.I powered tools, so if you have an issue with me using them, don't read.

- LiadrinRoyal Roadโ โ โ โ โ 5.0really good series and the first book set a good scene of the world and the characters. The second book really help to bring a new height to the side character. The third book is tear breakingly good and was a needed adition to deal with all that was happening. Really looking forward to the next book
- flarp125Royal Roadโ โ โ โ โ 5.0Personally this was such an enjoyable read for me that I stayed up past 2 am 2 days in row to binge read the whole thing. The comedy is so good, im not good at descriptions so i canโt really describe the comedy in a way that will do it justice but its just so good i was smiling and chuckling every single chapter.
- BaardbarianRoyal Roadโ โ โ โ โ 4.5Hang in there I'd say! Although it starts out as a heavy shopping trip, but that also just shows how much thought has gone into the whole world building. Afterwards it just gets more awesome alchemical fun times!
I quite like the non statted style despite being a vr game thing, reminds me of good old school fantasy books :) The world, story and characters are interesting and complex. I keep wanting to read and learn more - NgrundhoferRoyal Roadโ โ โ โ โ 4.5Takes a bit to get to the meat of the story, but the build up is needed for this type of story. Heavy on the interpersonal relationships but it's not an action oriented story, though the action it does have is well thought out and written. One thing I am liking about this author is that she is not afraid to revise her story if the feedback indicates it needs it. Overall I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good medium burn story.

TL;DR: It's a wish fulfilment self-insert LitRPG (by setting, no numbers at all) much more focused on the social aspects of gaming, so expect the parts of sword art online/log horizon not about fighting. The premise is weak, but if you get over the start (which still is cringeworthy) it is readable and good. It certainly caught my attention.
Soo, another book by the outback quill, huh? I am starting to get a hang of the stories she writes now, though. You know, strong female heroine (self-insert) wish fulfilment, but overall a relaxing and sometimes funny reading.
The start seemed more episodic, giving a space of several chapters to an event some unspecified amount of time after the previous episode happened. But, after that the most recent chapters (eeeeh, after chapter...30? maybe?) start developing a more continuous plot with some more medium and a hint of a long term goal besides the short term ones.
But, if you really start thinking about the system, you realize the reason it isn't featured more is it is not thought through. It is, after all, giving our heroine amazing powers without any levels, indicators or just scaling.
In the end, I decided to think about it as more of a fantasy with the LitRPG aspects hastily and shoddily bolted on and promptly forgotten, so that the premise makes sense and the players can think about it as a game.
On the whole, it is fun to read and I got over the first twenty-something chapters in one afternoon.
Oh, and I like the tidbits on famous alchemists and pharmacology, it fits nicely into the story. - Advanced Idea MachineRoyal Roadโ โ โ โ 4.0An enjoyable read. Several things I like about it. Seems like the author have throught things through, can't say the same for the main character though ๐
๐๐๐ good job
And apperanty the review is not allowed to be this short.
So to add to the above
I appreciate an author who can write fantasy or adventure where the stakes aren't of the life and death sort. - LadyLark1Royal Roadโ โ โ โ 4.0I enjoy laughing and this book makes me laugh. Reading a genius like Kadia. Is like reading a combination of children's books and L.G Estrella. Kadia is far from perfect, and has mental health issues. She's been though a lot and will take time to get better. I will enjoy every moment. From watching her invent new alchemical creations. To her learning more about the secrets of this new game world she made. Plus thier are BOOMY'S! Maybe we'll even get WHIZ BOOMS!!!!
- OntoSomethingGoodRoyal Roadโ โ โ โ 4.0Disclaimer - I am a romance writer with a habit of seeking valid reasoning behind every smallest emotion/action/interaction. LitRPG/Sci-Fi is a tad too dry for me in emotional space. So with that in mind, take this review with a pinch of salt.
Story - This is an interesting story of a girl, apparently, with some physical disability that prevents her from taking a useful job in the human world, being inserted into a virtual world by some scheme of her parents. The girl is intelligent, analytical, and wants nothing more than to return to the human world escaping the 'digitalization' process.
So far so good, the plot got me hooked. What I can't digest is how quickly the girl accepts her fate in the new world. Her mind feels already 'digitalized'. It may be just me but I can't feel a trace of sadness at the way she was cheated into this.
World Building - The writer does a good job of this. She has a flair, obviously already being published is proof of her skill.
I like the details with which everything has been described. We get old and new world mixed, there are elves, dwarves, mythical creatures, and races, then there are VR games and giant science corps. It feels like the author is trying to brew a potion with all ingredients :)
Grammar - Grammar is spot on. Some minor glitches in some places, some of them quite basic. Quick proofreading should fix them all.
Characters - The MC is intelligent, beautiful, with a physical ailment and a tragic past. All ingredients for the readers to feel empathy. Although I feel her insertion in the digital world and the acceptance of it was too fast. The initial chapters almost feel like she is looking forward to her time as an alchemist in a new world. I would have liked a little more rumination on what's going on in her mind.
Overall I find it an interesting read, a brew of all necessary ingredients. Give it a go if you enjoy a bit of everything. - SoftDragonRoyal Roadโ โ โ โ 4.0(I found the first book on KU, and read the second prior to making an account, despite the chapter mentioned)
This story avoids a lot of the tropes you would expect by the genre and vast poofy tail. No pain-inducingly dysfunctional romance (or any, as of yet), no bombardment of stackblocks and notifications.
The LitRPG setting is interesting, in that it is a VR MMO, but has little actual game-like behavior going on (no stats, no levels, skills are fairly vague). The real world intrudes into the plot, despite the protagonist being unable to leave the game, and the nature of the game world's virtual existence, and it's AI gamemasters/developers in the role of gods, looks like it will be a major plot point going forward.
So far there is not much of an epic quest, although a few medium ones are lurking on the horizon. The protagonist is absolutely not a geeky gamer, unlike your typical MMO litRPG protagonist, and fails to take the world seriously at first, while also becoming a bit of a griefer and self-immolating at times.
The players are split between *players*, who are just visiting, and citizens, who for monetary or medical reasons, are consigned to live in stasis with their mind in virtual reality full-time. The relation between them and the NPCs, and how the (intelligent) NPCs view them, is handled interestingly.
A number of minor punctuation errors exist in the royalroad version, presumably unedited. Nothing ambiguous or unintelligible. - test'; --Royal Roadโ โ 1.5The concept for this story has potential but is ruined by things such as:
-characters just accepting massively important deals without little thought
-characters accepting situations far too quickly. For example, let's spend a fortune on someone within a few hours of metting them because we used to know her a year ago
-author trying to make the character as op as possible, getting everything for free doesn't add to the story
-the abomination of trying to combine fantasy science and 'real science' while also calling them seperate. I am perfectly fine with magic systems etc, but the way it was done is horrible
-a picture of my (2d) anime wifu brings me more emotion than any of the characters. They are incredibly shallow
-some other stuff probably
