    Going to stop here (chapter 11).
    I really liked the initial setup, but everything else, not so much.
    Katira is a half-baked character at best. Even with the story not touching/exploring the can of worms that is the power imbalance between the two, it at no point justifies her infatuation with him. Her whole character is just pure wish fulfillment, so the MC can have his perfect and super-devoted waifu.
    Drake though, Drake is even worse. What started out as a fairly effective little horror side plot resolved itself in a few chapters to give the MC an awesome pet. It works, as long as you are willing to turn off your brain and not think about what happened to get there.
    In the last few chapters before writing the review, the story started with the whole "the MC is super special and doing things in new and better ways" even though the things he does are the most obvious solutions possible. Just made me roll my eyes at that point.
    I don't have a problem with wish fulfillment stories per se, but this one seems so focused on it that it forgot to be a good story first and foremost.
    Style is easy to read and the formatting is spot on. Also, not a single mistake was found, yay!
