- DozingPeachRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is extremely well written, the characters are interesting, the stakes feel very real, the action is comprehensible and paced in a satisfying way, and I can TELL how much time the writer has put into the main characters abilities and world-building. There's this satisfying sense of layering to the history and culture where no one person has all the answers, and the plot as of yet is really engaging. Billion out of five stars, your efforts are appreciated @ the author.
- Jamie DuncanRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Love the story in the beginning, was very chaotic and haphazardly entertaining because it kept you guessing on what was going on, but also made you feel a part of the story. Can’t wait to see what happens with the MC As she progresses through this dungeon. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing this book and more from this author.
- MooshieDRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I really enjoyed this. Just finished the first arc, and really liked the pacing, worldbuilding, character development, system and innovation on the authors part related to branches. That will make more sense if you read. Maybe I mean tree branches? :)
honestly creative and innovative in lots of things, which is refreshing. Writing quality is also good too. Just be prepared for non-stop movement.. this is definitely *not* slice of life speed!
to be clear, I’m really enjoy*ing* it. Sounds like the author has a lot more instore, and I’m buckled in baby! - PeteygRRRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is really good. Our MC has no idea of who she is, how she got there, or what is expected of her. She literally hits the ground running and barely has time to breathe, let alone figure out what is going on. For the first few chapters she is purely reactive, just trying to survive. Then things happen, and she becomes the subject of a personal vendetta, which just serves to ramp up the tension. This fiction is very good, and focuses mainly on character-driven storytelling, which makes the narrative compelling. We feel her terror and confusion. The Adversaries are more than just mindless murderbot NPCs. There is real tension, and information is just dribbled out. She is starting to get a picture of what is happening, but is still woefully uninformed. This is good. Also, she is terrifying.
- TaliornRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0While the story just came out it already has a lot going for it. The world is rich, dynamic and full of life. Interesting sci-fi aspects and lots of things to explore.
The MC doesn’t get any easy wins. From the moment you meet her she is in dire circumstances. The first people she meets try to kill her, followed by the second group.
The journey for her isn’t simple, but man its been a fun ride so far. - beanbusinessRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I went into this without knowing what to expect. From the premise it looked like it'd be about someone who gets rebuilt by machines and they're suddenly awesome. Not something I mind, to be clear. Like Saturday morning cartoons as a kid, that usually hits.
But its much more than that... its fantastic and thoughtful.
The world is mysterious and the engineering skills aren't OP (giving her just enough of an edge to keep her alive).
I've never read an Isekai where they don't have a memory, but I like it. Instead of lots of time spent on "why am I here" its more time spent figuring out how to live.
I've got plenty of reading to go, but I'm really excited to see where this one goes. Its familiar enough for me to want to guess, but the way the chapters have been going... I'm betting there's lots of twists and turns to keep things as interesting as they've been and more.
Al in all, it's a fun ride and one I'll be keeping up with for sure. I highly recommend reading it! - callmesteveRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It's funny. I started reading this, expecting a casual "person gets engineering powers and starts building crazy stuff" story.
I was quite wrong. Operator's been dropped in a world that doesn't make sense, with fairly hard (albeit magitek) engineering skills and an initial leg-up in materials the only thing keeping her alive. No memory, many questions, and there's not much an engineer can do out of a backpack. It's a rollercoaster in the dark, and I'm quite interested in seeing where it goes.
Then we hit Chapter 29, and one of the bombs drop. I won't spoil it, but there are some interesting stakes and implications if she survives.
All of that, and we don't even know where Operator came from, was going, or who she is. There's so much more to this story even beyond this world.
I highly recommend reading it! - worldbeyondRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0okay so I wasn’t going to leave a review but I’ve been lurking on this story for like two weeks and I feel like I owe it at least a comment.
The premise sounds generic on paper. Girl crashes on alien planet, gets rebuilt by machines, has to survive a warrior trial with no combat abilities. Yeah yeah heard it before. Except it’s actually not generic at all when you read it.
What got me was the first kill scene. I’ve read so many LitRPG protagonists who just… adapt instantly. Kill someone and move on. This one doesn’t. She just stands there and can’t move and it’s written in a way that felt uncomfortably real. I wasn’t expecting to feel anything and then I did, which was annoying honestly.
Tera is great. Sarcastic AI companions usually end up grating on me after a while but this one has actual personality beyond just being snarky. There’s something going on under the surface there.
The system stuff doesn’t feel like homework either which I appreciate.
My issues: pacing can be uneven, some chapters feel like they end right when things are getting good, and I have no idea what the protagonist’s name is which I keep forgetting is intentional.
But yeah. Following. Waiting for the next chapter. Against my better judgment. - auroraLiorRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I will start by saying that it is hard to review this story so early, but I believe it's worth to try at least.TLDR:Great beginning, I will need to manage my expectations to not be disappointed if the story end up "merely" very good ;)WorldBuilding:Probably the main reason for why it is hard to review so early: The story start in an unknown and isolated planet, mire specifically in a specific zone that was isolated from the rest of the planet for 'centuries', making it hard to know if the world will be coherent, but there are quite a few seeds of worldbuing already sown, so I hope and believe that the author will show us a interesting and coherent world that we will witness with our protagnist.Characters:Again a bit hard to judge given that for the most part untill now we have had mainly: an amnesiac protagonist, an amnesiac IA companion, and a mindless drone. But every character seems to have believable motivation, even when we cannot understand them because we don't yet have the context, we know they have a reason to do what they do rather than "the story need to move in this direction".Story:How do you judge a story when it has barely begun? >RicouilleRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The story is very classique but somehow starts very intriguingly. The character seems smart but lost. I love that professions can also become a strong archetype for this kind of tutorial story. Descriptions are powerful and the author is definitely putting a lot of effort in there. Can't wait to see where this is going. Thank you for the story
