- FlicsmoRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0A wonderful little tale of the terrible Lady Emiliana's and the attempt(s) to murder her. There's not much to say that won't spoil things, but it's punchy, clever and simply well-written. Very engaging all the way through - the ending in particular came out of left field for me, but wrapped up the (short) story in a fun and satisfying way.
- MK bk-201Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Fun, little short story about a woman named Emiliana and how absolutely everbody hates her, her sister, brother, nephew, employees, etc. So everyone wants to give her a permanent vacation to hell, the problem is?, well... nobody told each other they planned doing it the same day... well they cant miss dinner right?
- Tardis111Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This almost reminded me of an inversion of Knives Out. I almost expected it to turn into a "All the butlers did it" type of story where there are too many suspects and all of them did something, but the ending was neat and surprising regardless. A fun little (almost)-murder mystery.
- Valerie B. TrixRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Wow. I really enjoyed this one. This is one of those short stories that leave you satisfied with so little words! Even the very first few lines got me trapped in the myserty and intrigue. Major props to the author, I look forward to your full length novels because this was nothing short of perfect!
- RznRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The set up here involves some planning and intrigue, but when the event happens we are purposely left missing the motive and the particulars which is an interesting move. As readers we are also left without some clear signs from the others as to how this all impacts them in a meaningful way. Think of it like holding one's breath, the piece really ends with it still being held. The conclusion doesn't really release the tension, and given the plans - only begs for the expression of relief all the more.
