Ashley Brown “Brownie” Kelly can’t wait to get to college, where she plans to transform her passion for art into a career in animation. She just has to get through an entire summer of working at her mom’s tattoo parlor, The Painted Lady.

The Painted Lady is a place where inked skin tells stories, a place Brownie can hone her creativity and the cage she might never escape. But it’s also there her world collides with two drifters passing through town. One a shameless flirt, the other brooding and mysterious.

Brownie doesn’t it know it yet but her summer is about to get a whole lot messier. The men rival for Brownie’s heart and a complicated unspoken attraction, blurring the line between desire and destruction.
