The Little Phoenix Warrior [Beta] [YA Modern Fantasy Action]

Prelinsa, a young half-foxgirl, has a tough upbringing - a sickly body, a widowed mother, and a low quality of living. Despite this, she has a strong fighting spirit. She has heard stories that the Path of the Phoenix - a line of legendary magic - can help cure her illness, and allow her to become a Phoenix Warrior who helps others in need. However, the Path of the Phoenix is considered dangerous to learn, and is only taught by a select few in House Silvermoon - an old group of powerful mages. Even if Prelinsa gets her once in a lifetime chance to learn, she will be faced with enemies - not just from the outside, but from within House Silvermoon itself...

What to expect:- Hobbyist's first long work. Still pretty much in beta though, so feedback is appreciated- Volume 1 is "complete," and Volume 2 is in progress. 5 volumes planned- Random oneshots- Each volume is to be roughly light novel length (about 70k words), relatively quick read- Shounen anime action, military-lite action, some comedy, a bit of drama. Romance starting in Volume 2. A lot of different stuff- Not grimdark, but definitely with some dark elements- An urban near-future fantasy setting with both magic and technology. Not Earth, but has Earth-like aspects- An evolving world with societal, magical, and technological progress- Influence from various things - shounen anime, xianxia, rofan, TTRPGs- Not an isekai or time regression, Prelinsa is a native of the world and there's only one timeline- No AI text
