Description
No family, no name, and no past. What kind of path would a man walk if he had no identity to guide him? In a foreign and hostile world where the weak die and the strong prosper, one amnesiac will attempt to use whatever means possible to carve out a life for himself in hopes of finding some kind of safety and security in his new surroundings. Perhaps, in time, he will even recover his stolen memories and find out why he was brought there in the first place.

- ChaoticNeutral6Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0If you like stories where the main character is smart villainous lead, then this is the story for you.
The main character is reborn as an elf with amnesia in a fantasy world. He slowly remembers knowledge of medicine, mathematics as he learns to master his natural affinity with light magic.
He is not a good person and doesn't have an aversion to killing but doesn't go around murdering everyone in sight like a moron, he thinks things through and plans. If he has to temporarily bend his knee while accumulating power, he'll do so. Lovers of Reverend Insanity will enjoy - KroopTroopRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0If you're looking for a story where the MC is actually morally grey and realistically selfish, this is for you.
Short synopsis: We essentially get an isekai where our MC is left without their personal memories but is able to retain their skill memories (basically if you knew how to dress a wound or count to ten you can remember it here). He's then left stranded in a forrest and has to fend for himself a bit before he finds some people.
Overall [5/5]: It'd probably be closer to a 4.5/5 due to the grammar but the story is really enjoyable and the characters have alot of real depth when it comes down to the nitty-gritty.
Style [4.5/5]: It's really only held back by its grammar (though to a much lesser extent in the mid to later chapters), but the dialog, exposition and fight scenes flow well.
Story [5/5]: It keeps your attention, the pacing is good and if your into characters that don't act holier-than-thou and have actual wants that are relatively self centered when it comes to accomplishing their goals than it's a bonus.
Character [5/5]: Every character has their own wants, needs and goals. The MC isn't for everyone, so if you aren't into a morally grey character please read with a grain of salt (tags also exist for a reason).
Grammar [4.5/5]: Ngl, the Author needs an editor for a few scenes. The story is readable and immersive but there are some mistakes that may take away from the story as a whole.
Edited as of chapter 38: Most if not all grammatical issues have been fixed for the mid to later chapters and the new chapters are in line with a well written piece.
All in all give it a try. - RasinKombuchaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0TLDR for prospective readers: This is a very solid (and currently heavily underrated) isekai. This is a weak to strong story with an ambitious mc who seems to be true neutral as far as D&D alignment is concerned. If you are a fan of isekai and are comfortable with a mc that isn't heroic then I highly recommend it.
Style: The style here is the weakest part of the story and is really just good instead of great. The setting is very stereotypical fantasy (in a good way) with elves and dwarves, and while there are a few minor twists on the formula but nothing especially memorable so far other than parts of the unique magic and some elven traits.
Story: I'm really enjoying the story so far. The mc wakes up in a new place, in a new body and just has to figure things out from there. The story closely follows him as he tries to figure out who he is and what he wants. I can't go into it much without starting to spoil things but I can say that it's all well written and it never feels forced. The author does a great job of letting the mc lead the story and never railroading the mc into acting out of character for plot purposes.
Grammar: I don't remember any point in which bad grammer detracted from the story, I'm sure there were errors, just nothing that bad.
Character: This is where the series is strongest, our mc definitely isn't a hero but he isn't a villian either, he just feels like a person. An ambitious, arrogant, and intelligent person with their own code of conduct they follow. He mostly makes good decisions that further well thought out and well explained goals. The mistakes he does make are in character and believable. Other characters are also very solid, no one is one dimensional and they are all believable if not fantastic like the mc.
Overall: A really solid series that I hope starts updating with better frequency and consistancy. The world is good, if a bit generic but that just doesn't matter much when the characters have sufficient depth and are all having int - AzureDaoistRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0True anti hero. There is no "anti-hero," who's actually really nice and has hero vibes. The MC is selfish and seeking power. He isn't a lone wolf either but he's really clear in his relationships, there is no group that conquers through the power of friendship. Most relationships seem temporary but each character has his own goals and aspirations. They don't cater to the MC unless forced through his power of course.
