- DurpmanRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I'm always amazed at just how much the author is able to squeeze out of what is effectively the exact same scenes every single chapter. By focusing on slightly different aspects with each version of Harry, it always manages to feel new.
The excellent character work brings the concept together, managing to make each Harry feel like a new character while having believable interactions with the supporting cast. I will note that this work leans into the evil/controlling Dumbledore interpretation, becoming more blatant with each chapter. The author also seems hesitant to venture too far from the mainline HP cast. I would be interested in seeing Harry spend real time with more minor characters even if their personality has to be spun from whole cloth.
Finally I just want to praise the authors ability to incorporate different magical systems into their work. Even with works I'm completely unfamiliar with, I feel comfortable that I understand what Harry can do by the end of each chapter, and never really feel like something comes completely out of nowhere. - petercoRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5It's a fun series of short stories. A lot of inspiration taken from the WoW universe. Some of them feel rather similar to each other, but they're all different enough. And they're short, with most of the repeated content, whether from the Harry potter books or from the other short stories, left out. Which is great.
