A LitRPG about alien invaders, superhuman defenders, and one poor guy stuck in the middle with a serious case of memory loss.

Note for readers: while most chapters are in first person, a number of chapters with different third person POVs are titled 'Interlude'. These chapters also have an impact on the story, and the terminology is a personal choice.

This fiction is marvellous. Plain and simple. It's among the top 3 fictions I truly enjoy following on this site. The author is extremely talented in my humble opinion. The care and attention that has gone into this work is plain to see. It's coherent. The pacing isn't tiring, for a protagonist with such powerful abilities. Round characters to say the least. The antagonist hierarchy and the unfolding conflict is well crafted to make the story compelling.
And something else. I usually loath interludes. But in this fiction they are sublime. That must be talent of some kind.

I must say i love the story so far.
The main character is potentially overpowered but his growth is in most, if not all cases justified.
I also cant wait for his memories to return(kinda wondering from which hell this guy spawned)
In most stories i dislike interludes since they distract fom the main story, but here i love them.
Different point of view in such a story allows us readers to understand the given world better and to show us how certain characters are thinking.
In short If i were you i would give this a try.

One of the best I have read in a long time. Easily professional quality, with excellent grammar and impeccable spelling. The plotting is logical and the action scenes are well done. Characters are nuanced and believable, pacing is steady, and overall a very satisfying read.

It's definetly a great read!
The action scenes are nice, although it sometimes seems a little off, since the MC isn't actually trying to kill anyone, he is just to powerful to really control himself or has to cast his idealism of non-lethal take downs away in the face of possible death.
In the spectrum of Super Hero Novels the anti-Hero has become more and more prominent, so it's actually quite refreshing when you have an upstanding MC who doesn't enjoy killing, has moral doubt about it and actively tries to better himself for it. He is also described as a protector of humanity in the novel, which I really like.
He uses brute force as kind of a brute Juggernaut, his brain when it comes to preparing for battle or problem solving. He also has Healing powers which makes me hope that they are going to be used a lot more. Especially on civilians who suffer the most in such a brutal world. Or himself, which gives me some ideas.
Looking at you Deadpool!
Dont have anything negative to say about Style or Grammar.
The story US still quite open, since it's still to early. But it's quite enjoyable to put up your own theories. I think that we are going to see a lot more regarding the MC's memory loss and how he appeared on this strange earth.

I have read alot of novels and this is one better than alot of them, A story that can make you wonder about the world within the novel and honestly one of the few novels I enjoy reading from start to it's current chapter.
Note: To enjoy this story try to ignore some of the plotholes, It's a very engrossing story, World building that has quite the depth to it but is slowy build upon from start to finish.

I'm really digging this story. I don't usually like superhero stories, but this one is good. Nice amounts of humor, thrilling action, and believable characters. I haven't noticed any typos, the grammar seems on point, and the story pacing seems to flow nicely from dialogue to action to scenery. Dangerguard's prose itself is nothing to write home about, but the author's consistency and smooth enmeshing of his ingenious "system" into the narrative is remarkable.
Story: 4.5/5
At the time of writing, Dangerguard has led the reader through two sub-plots that resolved in satisfying, realistic manners. The protagonist's power, however, is both an crutch and tool, as Dangerguard uses it to both (appropriate textually) infodump and create artificial narrative tension and character goals.
Grammar - 5/5
Errors are few and far between; small typos, if anything.
Characters - 4/5
The protagonist, though reasonably naïve and thoughtless for a high-schooler, has little motivation beyond "doing good" and following his power's prompts. I expect this to change as he discovers more about his past & his power's seeming omniscience in the text's reality. So far, villains have been a bit too villainous; sexual abusers, drug dealers, aliens, and tyrants all. There's been some good work done in the interludes, where other characters scheme for and against the protagonist.
Total: 4.5/5
So far, this is one of the best modern LitRPGs on the site. I have high hopes for the novel--I expect it'll only get better.
