- blitflame01Royal Road★★★★ 4.0Honestly this does not need something like an advanced review it's a story that could honestly sell for money with a bit of editing.
The synopsis of the story could be described as some asshole monologing about himself 24/7. It's surprising entertaining. This story knows what it is and just roles with it. Is there cliches most definitely. Are those cliches done in a brilliant way yes. Is there a ton of swearing absolutely. Is there a stalkers butler ready to make sure the mc is a forever virgin most definitely.
I would say give it a read. It's not the story you go to get all emotionally invested. It's the story you go to because it's hilarious in a kinda adolescent way. Which makes sense since the mc is a crude orphaned teenager. - Yodeling PicklesRoyal Road★★ 1.5Well I got to this chapter and decided to drop it. The main character just has no redeeming characteristics and is annoying to listen to. If you want to read a story where the MC is rude, annoying, ungrateful, uses swearing as a crutch over actual character development, and is just plain uninteresting this is your story.
He constantly talks about the main girl character in a demeaning sexual way, which shows how unlikable he is. I was hoping the butler would convince the girl that out main character is trash. She seems to be under the impression that our main character is hero material and thinks this guy is apparently a good catch. To disprove this we can hear our MC constantly saying he would have gotten into her pants if her butler wasn't around.
He also seems to be bitter that she happens to have money and while he keeps saying he doesn't want her to spend it on him he actually does have her use her money on him, just inadvertently.
And in this particular chapter he clearly states that she gave him a bunch of items and then was flirting with a girl who he admits he would go to a love hotel with given the chance.
I really liked this plot premise and while it might get better I found myself turned off by the main character insulting me the reader for not reading the chapter title.
I had put this story down for a bit and picked it back up to give it another chance and had actually failed to read this particular chapter heading only to be insulted.
I mean I get that the author is trying to be funny with this writing style but it's just not that fun for me. The amount of cussing just seems to distract from the story, well placed words have great impact, but these ones are just so frequent that they don't really add anything and just feel like the MC is angry 100 percent of the time. And its tiring to read a story and imagine a person yelling at you, the reader, the whole time.
