Description

When Maya signed up for her university's LGBT club, she hoped for a sense of community and belonging. A safe place to relate to others who share her experience. Instead, she finds a disheveled young man who asks a few too many questions and drags her into uncharted territory. Juggling transphobic co-workers, an old friend who has been acting strange, and a new guy who constantly keeps her on her toes, can Maya keep her head above water? Or will she crash and burn?

I have really enjoyed this story so far. The grammar and style of writing is top notch for Royal Road standards. I really have liked the characterization of people like Evan and Maya so far. The feel really realistic and have a fairly fun and tumultous romance between them. If you enjoy slice of life stories you will really get a kick out of this one. I would say its definitely my favorite one I have read on RR so far. The writing style reminds me a lot of some of the shorter stories on RR like Snipe and Post-Human (both great short stories that you should check out)
This story is also pretty heavy in dealing with LGBTQ+ Issues, if you can't handle that, or find it uncomfortable, then you should still read it. Maybe learn a thing or two.
P.S, I hope that Maya finds love, she deserves it. :3
