- EdochRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It's always a pleasure to find a great to read.
I highly recommend it - HaterbaiterRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0EDITED VERSION: So... I rated this as a 4.5 before, it doesn't merit that. Most of what I said before is accurate, but the story progresses at a snail's pace. I sugarcoated it by saying it's very good, but in reality, I guess I was comparing that with the only other superhero litrpg I've ever read called Herohunter, which had an utterly atrocious. While the story is still decent, the slow pacing hurts and detracts from it a lot. As for the characters? They're basically the same, except Might guy is almost cartoonish in his actions, while other characters aren't really human in their actions. Overall, I dropped story from 4 stars to 3 stars and characters half a star. I guess I'm still wearing rose-colored glasses, but I do still like the novel and I think you should give it a shot. It really picks up when you Jam's backstory.
Lastly: If you only read a little, you could dismiss this as a power fantasy, but power fantasies don't typically have plots as good as this one (despite it's abysmal pacing) or have the main character suffer a lot. While Jam cruising through the beginning might ring some bells for you, stick around till you know either his backstory or how he got to the planet.
Anyways, it's good, but not a must read. I still like it though, and for that, I'll bump the overall rating from what should be 3.5 to a 4.
OLDER VERSION:
This is one of the best things I've ever read on this site and it's a superhero litrpg done right!
Style: I have no real complaints about this one, the system is pretty interesting and the level up system is pretty new, at least in my opinion, I haven't seen anything like it. The power roulette is by far the most interesting part of the system as almost all fights will be different due to his new powers. Overall: Good
Story: The story develops very slowly, but it's also very good. Throughout the story, you read about how Jam got to where he was and read about his struggle to become a superhero. While that's interesting in and of itsel - ILoveAnimeRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I highly enjoyed this novel. Maybe the best superhero novel in site. Grammar and story are pretty solid. Characters are interesting and interactions are good. I really can't fault this novel for anything obvious.
People should read this :)
