Luke Carpenter wanted one thing above all else. There was something he desired more than money, status or even love. He wanted an interesting life.

Strangely, he didn’t actually know what that meant. Luke had learned long ago that it wasn’t about flashy luxuries or taking stupid risks but if he was asked what an interesting life truly was, he wouldn’t have an answer.

That would soon change… everything changed that day. That day, when an entire army platoon found themselves in a world that was entirely unlike their own. To most of these soldiers, this world was a vicious and cruel land but to Luke, it was the greatest gift he’d ever received.
