The Forerunner's Odyssey

Description
The greatest tragedies are not the ones with the most unfortunate and unhappy endings, but rather the ones without an ending at all. So when Suran Ibrahim scaled the fresh crater, it was not out of exuberance for surviving his ordeal, nor was it out of desire to live in the brave, new world he found himself in. He simply longed for an ending to his odyssey. Mature 18+ Mostly for violence, some language, but anything else may show up eventually. I place the tag just so that I'm not restricted. I'm rewriting this to fix a host of issues. I'll try to update my progress in the blurb - I most likely wont post the revisions until I'm done for all chapters. Till then, c'ya later fam. Maybe. Character rework: 100% Planing: 80% Rewrite: 5/35 Editing: 5/35

Review for new Reader
[spoiler]
The first part of this review is to clarify what the story is about for readers confused by the (lack of) cover and blurb.
Setting; This story starts in a world with a run-down atmosphere, a main character who believes he's good at fighting and tries to help out those in need, and a crazed girl he meets in the ruins of a burnt out town. We get the impression of a very poor kind of world where everyone's fighting for scraps. There are magical swords of darkness, super abilities, and bandits. Our main character seems to have been transmigrated from one fantasy world to another world he doesn't understand.
Beyond that, some details are quite easy to ignore in the writing so a perfect grasp of the setting was hard for [ReGro] members to establish. Wildness style adventures won’t be the only type of setting here. Once the main character does eventually hit a major city, there are some slice of life style events in various places. Once a miniplot hits, we get a detective searching out a mystery sort of genre.
Pacing; The downside to this story is that the overall plot and direction doesn't get picked up. It is only until around chapter eight that the story gets a purpose beyond its immediate problems. Anyone reading this story should try to hold out to at least that point and determine if they like the story from there. There's action up until that point in order to keep some people going, but the action style itself may n
