Description

It is a reincarnation/transmigration story where the MC can only do magic that is socially condemned, but is protected somewhat by his powerful political station. For as long as he can keep it, anyway. With a little luck and some modern world thinking, perhaps he'll come up with something to change people's minds. Not forcefully though, that would be unethical.

** The MC is not a fighter. He's a gamer. He loves rpgs, movies, modern music, and telling stories.

I intend to post at least once a week in the range of 2k words. If work eases up I'll increase the amount again.

((Work has instead intensified to the point where I'm struggling to get a chapter every two weeks. I'll pick it back up properly when I can, but for now it is on temporary hiatus while I still might post every once and awhile. This winter, I plan to go back to regular posts until the story finishes.))

    I found this story while digging deep down into the "Popular This Week" category, and I don't understand why this one isn't on Trending. It's a well written, fun story. The character isn't a complete jerk and there's just the right amount of tension. The plot veers into wierd, unexpected directions (in a good way). I actually laughed out loud twice, a rare occurrence for me.
    The only real negative for me was that, at times, the comedy devolved into silliness, but that's a risk any author takes when trying to be funny.

    This has held my interest so far,chapter 26 as of this review. I will be honest I almost dropped it after the first few chapters as the errors where quite high but the author has improved greatly with regard to grammar errors. Looking forward to reading more and hopefully see more action.  4 stars due to the early grammar errors.

    This is a portal fantasy/isekai story that's heavily slice of life, so the pace is a bit sedate, however, it's friggin awesome and the characters are well written and have depth to them, the world building and magic systems seem really cool so far. I can't wait for the MC to realise how awesome he actually is. Grammar is mostly okay, however there are a few strangely worded sentences and a few spelling errors that mess up the flow.
    Honestly, 4/5 so far, I can't wait to read more, keep up the good work!

    This is the story of a boy that truly enjoys many types of amusements: games, movies, parties, performance, and other fun pastimes.
    The main character wakes up in the body of a boy from a noble house. Unfortunately, his new mother was on the verge of getting herself killed and his magic was distrusted by the population as a whole, but the boy thrives with his hobby and help from ladies.

    Mc is an entitled ass, acting like the stereotypical young master he thinks he is better than, his mom is a yandere magic nuke, allowing him to insult and assault whoever he likes, which he does liberally.
    Mc has the power of illusion, which he uses to introduce Dungeons and Dragons, in a basically dungeons and dragons world.
    Not movies, not steam power, not semaphore communication, not blackpowder, or tube accelerated projectile to kill monsters (which are endemic and kill villages constantly.
    he has the power to visually show what he is talking about through illusions, even if the exact details of a watts steam engine construction are unknown to him, the principle is evident. same with hot air balloon
    He doesnt give a damn his mom mindscrewed herself, from using her magic 24/7 for a year to keep him alive, doesnt care his dad and little sister are missing,
    casually uses his powers to assault and harass others even though illusionists are hated for that exact reason.
    is stupidly obsessed with DnD, and trying to make the world also obsessed with it,
    the whole thing is basically slapstick

    I loved the idea, Ilusionist in a fantasy world that hates ilusionists, proving his worth. I have a soft spot for these "individual against society" stories.
    This story is not that. MC just shows a few pretty pictures and everyone around goes "ga ga".  No creative use of his power. In the world where it is normal for goblins to kill off your village what you need is D&D???
    So much wasted potential for story ...
